Wonderful time, enjoyed site, clean bathrooms and hot shower, also enjoy hiking the “pond loop trail” The camp site was spacious and easy to park and level our truck camper.

Nice little state park in northwest Massachusetts. Like other Massachusetts state parks there are no hookups at the campsites, but I was surprised to find that there is no dump station at the park. I was informed that, if needed, I could utilize the dump station at Savoy Mountain State Forest about 10 miles west off of Route 2 with a valid hang tag from Clarksburg.
We booked late for Memorial Day weekend 2016, and Site 31 was the only one that would fit our trailer. It might have worked better for a little pop-up, but we had a tough time getting our 21' trailer in the 23' max spot. The level pad area and driveway were angled the opposite direction you would want for the approach from the one-way traffic loop. Walking the campgrounds, most of the sites had better approaches, and I figured out why #31 was the last one available.
Nice hiking trails through the woods and over many wet and marshy lands. Good views of the pond along the way. Paved loops connect the camping sites and it is a quick walk around to do the figure-8 loop. Not worth bringing bikes for this campsite, unless you want to ride that figure-8 loop a bunch of times.

“Not friendly to out of staters”
noted 7/6/2022
Wow $54.00 for non residents. $17.00 for residents. That’s insane. Camped all over nation I’ve never been in a state With anywhere near that big a spread. Good thing Mass. is so small. I’ll just skip camping here and move on into Vermont.
