Go right out of the campground, then you'll see a dirt road on your left, turn left then drive about 1/8 of a mile, you'll see the spot with fire ring and a tree. If you drive all the way down to the gate there is a another small spot. Probably most suitable for tents. Also a decent place to turn around if you go to far.
You'll hear coyotes and see lots of cows.

Our stay here was all beautiful skies, friendly neighbors spaced far apart, and peaceful atmosphere. We didn't want to leave at the end and may come back next month. The campsites and road in are well maintained and the sites are large pull through so easy in and out. Not much traffic comes through here, but occasionally the cows at the ranch start making some noise (seemed to be around dinnertime). Up the road there's a prairie dog colony which is fun to watch. Thanks to another helpful reviewer we learned to fill our water tank at the Empire Ranch just 2.5 miles away and we passed it on our way in. If this spot is full, there are a few other sites in this area so lots of camping options around here. We had good service with Verizon and AT&T. Sonoita is about a 20 minute drive and has most amenities aside from groceries and laundry. We went to Sierra Vista for laundry and Vail or Nogales for groceries. I didn't see a single piece of trash in this lovely conservation area.

We would totally camp here again!!

Very peaceful stay in late October. Nice for mountain biking. Clean vault toilets and potable water 2.3 miles from camp at the Empire Ranch. Several sites here and some at Oak Tree Canyon CG (not a real canyon) and the old airstrip. Verizon 2-3 bars LTE.

An absolutely awesome hidden gem in Southeast Arizona. I've been here twice, once around Memorial Day and another time in October and I've seen maybe one or two other boondockers at the main camping area. This is a beautiful, quiet place to spend some time in a unique landscape and watch the stars!

Wide open space with rolling hills, mountains all around and cows. The reviews below capture it. Good spot to park and use for day trips to Tombstone, Bisbee, Sierra Vista, Patagonia, etc. Also kinda close to Tuscon. Couple restaurants 6 miles away. Verizon with WeBoost gave me 5 bars.

Brought our 43' fifth wheel to Cieneguita camping area on a Thursday but it was already full so we parked just down the road. No problem for big rigs in many locations. The rule is that you can park anywhere there is a spot on any road. The entire area is public land. You can also pass through fences. Just make sure you close it behind you if they are closed and leave them open if they are open. Fires are fine unless there is a special restriction. The mesquite trees are not natural to the area and they want to return it to grassland so take as much as you want for firewood. This area is 4500' elevation so it was cold at night but we still had 65 to 75 during the day in February which was perfect. It could also be a cooler spot to camp in the hotter months.
It was very busy on the weekend and crowded at all the camping sites but you can always find an open spot if you look around. Lots of ATV activity on the weekend but not much during the week. We heard coyotes and saw a pronghorn but not much wildlife other than the cows. There is a prairie dog recovery site nearby.
AT&T was great with download speeds around 50Mbps. Unable to get T-Mobile service at all.

My second time here. I stayed a few days in December, 2019. It seems even more beautiful on this visit. My site is level with no need for blocks. Sites are widely spaced and great 360 degree views. Cell service is great and many TV channels. This desert is so different from the Sonoran desert west of Tucson!
