I used Choteau City RV Park as a layover while supporting my wife as she hiked the Continental Divide towards Glacier and Canada. It was hard to beat the $10 fee even though there were no hookups. You pay on the honor system. There were bathrooms available, no showers. It was in the 90s while I was there so it was really nice to have the creek meandering beside the campground and the dog enjoyed just laying in it. There are ball fields and frisbee golf bordering the park but there was no activity while I was there on a weekend. Grocery store and gas stations near by and only a two block walk to Main Street and a movie theatre. Most sites had a picnic table and some with fire rings. There is a dump station on site for $5. There is no potable water available except. Generally pretty quiet except for the children playing in the park. On the Sunday morning I was there the volunteer fire department siren went off at 6 AM that had me bolt upright in bed. That’s country. Most of the time I had 3 bars on AT&T but one afternoon cell service totally disappeared until late evening. I would definitely stay here again.

Just to be clear, I did not stay at this campground. Saw this campground while wandering around the town and thought I would share it.
The campground is located next to the city park and the Pavilion and community center. It’s first come, first serve, with no reservations. It has a 3 day limit. You can pay with cash in envelopes or use their QR code and pay online. I didn’t notice actual designated spots, but there was a decent amount of space. There were even some picnic tables and fire rings that people created out of rocks. A creek runs through the area. There is a public restroom with flush toilets, but there are no showers available. There is a sewer dump location, self serve for $5.
There was a van and tent camper while I was there. If I was back in the area I wouldn’t hesitate to stop there for the night.

There's more room here than typically gets reported - there are two areas for RV camping, not one. The dividing line is the creek that runs through the park. The north side is the area most previous posts are describing: it offers shaded afternoon parking (but with smaller areas due to all the trees) and the restrooms. The south side offers larger, wider open spaces, more level ground, but it gets the afternoon sun and has fewer shade trees. This is where the dump (no potable water there) and potable water nearby are, plus it's a bit closer to the market. Both sides of the creek have registration posts and announce the campground. Following the city sign as you enter the city park, you drive thru the south side of the campground and over the creek's bridge to reach the north side. Between the two areas, I would guess 10 or 12 RVs would fit in the park comfortably.
The market is very well supplied (including fresh veggies), independent of the town's size, and it's quite friendly as a bonus. The drive up on 287 or down on 89 will show a great deal of no 'there' there, and fuel can be scarce, so plan accordingly. For us, Verizon offers 2-3 bars of LTE unboosted, somewhat better boosted. Nightly fee is $10, dump is $5. Down in Utah, these low fees would attract the near-vagrants; no so hereabouts.

What a gem. We lucked into this place. It has a dump station and a great disc golf course. I would highly recommend it. Nice local grocery store 2 blocks away. Great Verizon service to boot.

Quiet little overnight stop with beautiful surroundings. We felt very safe here with occasional patrol by police or sheriff. Sites are easy to get to, ground is level. Used our cell hotspots for internet access, worked very well.

Also dumpsters are around the park. There is about six sites and they have picnic tables and there were a couple of fire rings. The town is a very quiet little drop out in the middle of nowhere. Would definitely stay here again. Very good cell signal for Verizon and AT&T. Enjoyed listening to the birds along the river
