Two toilets in the men’s and one shower with a toilet. DIRTY. This sadly has been our experience with NFS places. They are terrible when it comes to restroom cleaning. That was the only downfall here. All sites have some access to the lake within walking distance. Nice paved trail runs about 3-4 miles along the lake and up to the main road. Great for a nature walk or a quick bike ride. Lake is beautiful.

It’s the national forest so we don’t go there expecting lots of frills and amenities. There are actually four loops as part of the Norway Beach recreational area. Check the forest service website for details about each loop. One is walk in only. Of the three that are accessible for RVs, only one has electricity. Overall the sites are not bad although there are some that are pretty tight and some that are close to each other but some are decent size and secluded. Very few sites in any of the loops would be good for particularly big rigs. There is no dump station and water spigots are difficult to find. There is nice access to the lake and a short bike/hike trail to enjoy. The bathroom/shower facilities had seen better days and we’re not especially clean.

Overall we enjoyed our time here. Quiet, good access to the water. Sites are narrow and bunched in groups of 2 and 3. Ours faced the woods but the site behind us faced the back of our rig. If you use the picnic table and fire ring, located behind the camp site, you’re just outside your neighbor’s front door. This is not true of all sites but a lot of them. Our site had 30 amp power. Bathhouse is directly across the road. It needs some serious cleaning and a new paint job. Water spigots are scattered around the park. There is a dump on the Wanaki Loop of the park. Regular rates are $30/night, $15 with our Senior Lifetime Pass.
