Tried to stay here, at the time we came through there seem to be a lot of "longtimers" staying. Looked as if they had been there months. No spots available. Drove around and had no luck. Its very dusty as well.

“Nicely laid out OHV campground”

We didn't stay here but took some notes and photos that might be of interest to others. It was open but completely empty on a beautiful Sunday morning in late April when we drove through. Each site is generously sized and laid out to accommodate loading and unloading of OHV trailers and rigs.

There's a central hose bib for water, gravel pads, fire rings and picnic tables. Beautiful ponderosa pine forest. Lots of interesting Forest Roads and cinder cones to explore nearby in this OHV-oriented stretch north of Fort Rock and east of LaPine.

We couldn't find any info about fees or a collection station, so it's probably free. Which is awesome!

We didn't get any Verizon reception in this location.
