If your driving down from Kennidy Meadows Road you should be able to make it to the entrance. If your coming up from Route 178 then i would warn you of the steepness of the climb. I am not sure of the road conditions this time of year. Chimney Peak/Basin Road is gravel. Not sure of the water or snow melt. Campsites near the entrance are hilly but there are a few level spots about midway back. There is creek that runs through the campground. Not sure if i would try it in the early spring.

my notes say few of the sites are vehicles friendly and the road is quite steep. If you are looking for an RV friendly place in the area checkout Fossil Falls Campground or the free dispersed camping at Fossil Falls Dry Lake.
