Nice park. Some of the sites are hard to get into on the front loop. The bathrooms need to be updated but they are clean. The electric on front loop are old and some of them show reverse polarity

We arrived late, after a blown tire, and a park ranger happened to come by as we were pulling into the park, tired and fussy. The park ranger went above and beyond to help us find a more secluded spot, way after hours.

We stayed in the south campground, site 38. Memorial Day weekend the park was full. Sites are okay but close together and not very wide. Rode our bikes to the Louisiana Arboretum. Great place.

Electrical hookup was adequate and water had good pressure. Drove over to the north landing campground was too far down a substandard roadway and sites weren't far enough apart. Would definitely stay again but not on the north end. Very clean restrooms and showers. Wifi showed a signal but no internet which is no big deal camping is for getting away.

Unfortunately, we were unable to spend the week we had booked here. It looked like a great state park from what we saw. My husband works from our camper and we thought the site we booked which was C81 would work with our Starlink (From google maps it was the only site that looked partially open tree-wise). We underestimated just how many trees covered each site and there was ZERO cell signal so we had to pack up and find another park. The women who worked at the check-in station were very understanding and nice and gave us a refund minus one-night since we had technically had already checked in which isn't a big deal. It was our fault not there's. I just wanted to warn others who may be in the same situation. If none of those things are a big concern to you then it looks like a great park from what we saw.

Reserved site 10 , (closest to bathhouse) but 20 amp plugin didn’t work so we moved across the street to site 9 . Electric worked but site didn’t have a picnic table . It looked like someone dragged it to site 11 where there were 2 picnic tables. The attendant that checked us in was very young and didn’t seem to have much experience. She overcharged us and kept asking someone in the other room how to do things. There should have been Wi-Fi . The routers were near our campsite and had a strong signal but the young attendant told us the Wi-Fi wasn’t fixed yet . ???? Also be aware of the location of the water treatment pump motors (? ? )They were very loud . I would camp at this park again but camp at a different site in the South campground and make sure the power worked . We looked at the North campground and wouldn’t recommend it until improvements are made.
