We stayed three nights visiting our daughter who just relocated to DC. This park is well staffed, well organized and in great shape. The folks here were all nice.
The site was fairly level. Perfect from head to toe but just off left to right.
We had a premium site with nice table/ chairs, bbq and firepit. The only negative to the site was the lack of trees for shade in an incredibly hot and humid August. But there are other sites that check that box.
The bathhouse was incredibly clean and the shower pressure was good.
My iPhone 8 on AT&T was pulling 60 mgbs down!
We will definitely come back.

Cherry Hill deserves the five stars that I gave it, the RV Park is clean and well taken care of. There are plenty of people working around the grounds to keep the bathrooms, pools, rec rooms, and public areas clean. The camp store is well stocked and if you need assistance with tours etc in DC they have buses that leave right from the campground. The staff are helpful and friendly; they recommenced someone to wash and was my Airstream Trailer. I had the work done and the gentlemen whom they recommended did an excellent job. If you are visiting DC Cherry Hill is the place to stay. I wish that we could find more parks like Cherry Hill as we travel around the country. One last thing, the laundry is first class, large with lots of new washers and dryers. Can't say enough nice things about the place, if you stay at CH I think that you will like it.

The off-season rate could have been a bit better or at least would have been more appealing if there had been a weekly rate but overall, we enjoyed our stay and would definitely return for the customer service and amenities.
I nearly forgot to mention the hot tub! Such a welcome feature after long days walking thru museums in DC. Also very convenient to groceries, restaurants and the Metro.

The only negative we really found (besides the price) is that the spots are close together with little toad parking. We arrived later in the day and it took us quite a while to get ourselves maneuvered into our spot. When providing the size of your rig be generous because the spots are tight.

We were in site 933 and our stay included a Friday and Saturday night. Site 933 is directly across from the "conference center". Both weekend nights, the conference center was rented for weddings. The music, the traffic, the people.....it was really loud. So, if you are going to stay here, request to be far from the conference center :). If you are there during the week, it probably isn't a huge concern.
We went into the DC area a couple of days. With traffic, it's about a 30-45 minute drive.

The campground is less than 10 minutes away from the College Park/University of Maryland METRO station (20-25 minute ride to Archives stop in DC). Weekend parking is free at the station. They also have a bus that will take you to the METRO station. We paid a nominal fee for a "Nite Tour" into DC. The tour bus left the campground at 6:00 pm and visited many of the great monuments in DC; we returned before 11:00 pm. Our tour guide, Larry, was awesome. Our driver, Carl, was an excellent driver. We saw, for example, the Lincoln Memorial at night. What an amazing experience. We spent time in the FDR memorial and MLK memorial, and learned so much about both of these. The campground itself has so many amenities. Hiking trail (1.4 miles) around the campground, pools, splash park, mini golf, dog park and run, dog walking services, cafe, nightly outdoor theater, golf carts, water and ice dispensers, WiFi, computer station, security. It was a great experience for us. We would stay here again.

This is a great park that is fairly close to DC. This park is as close to an “RV resort” as I have ever stayed. There are lots of sites, standard and preferred. Standard is the normal back in or pull through, with full hook ups and gravel pads, also there is a fire pit and picnic table. The preferred sites add a bricked patio and iron patio chairs and table and a grill. There is a large pool, splash pad, 2 laundry rooms with several washers and dryers ($2.50 and $.25/6 minutes.) Basketball court, Gaga pit, mini golf, Tractor rides in the evening, nightly outside family friendly movies and a 1.5 mile trail around the park that is well maintained. Make no mistake, this is an “urban” campsite, traffic can be heard all around the park from I-495, but it isn’t overbearing. However, being able to have campfire in the city and abundant trees make it feel more like camping. Campsites are fairly close, but there is still space between your neighbors. There is a bus stop at the entrance with a very knowledgeable concierge that will help you figure out where to go and what to see. The Metro train station is 15 minutes away if you don’t want to ride the bus. Staff is very helpful, answering any questions about DC or the surrounding area. Every day at 4 and 7 pm they have a Tour seminar that teaches you how to use the Metro, tour options, ideas on where to go and all kinds of other information, I highly recommend going. The camp store has just about everything you need, to include a small RV store which is almost like a small Camping world. Defiantly a great place to stay, lots to do here, and an easy place to explore DC from!
