Question about Cherry Gap Camping Area

hello everyone. I am planning a two night stay around labor day weekend and I want to take my dog. Is this camping area located inside a national park? will I be able to camp and hike with my dog? I will have a leash on her but I dont want to get there and be told I can't take her with me to see the Chicago stump. thank you in advance!

It’s located in the national forest, not the national park. It should be fine to take your dog. There is usually no issues with having dogs in national forests as long as they are leashed. If you plan on doing a hike in the national park, I would suggest looking up the specific trail on all trails and see if they allow dogs!
