Cherokee Casino Roland RV Park

The sites are not spacious by any means. It is a parking lot but there are fhu. We have a 42' 5th wheel and were the first to arrive so we were able to get parked pretty easily. It would have been a little trickier had there been more campers when we arrived. There is a form to fill out & turn in to the Casino but other than that, no fees or requirements. There was some hwy noise but not enough to keep us from sleeping. We did spend a couple of hours in the casino & everyone was pleasant.

Don't even stop.

I spoke to the front desk about a month ago and reconfirmed yesterday. Was told there are 9 sites, 1st come, no reservations, and are usually good during the week with weekends being full.

Stopped in at 3pm....seems only 5 are 'full' hookups, so we slid in next to #5. Power didn't work, so that's why the guy there was only using 120 cord.

The photo on this site must be pretty old because the lot is gravel and uneven, rutted and not well kept.

We have had good success at casinos in the past, so we'll try again but not at this one.

Seems like everywhere in the country is super hot right now so this was wonderful to be able to hook up to electricity without paying anything! Site # 5 electric wasn't working so I moved to 4. It can be a bit noisy...highway traffic is close and music coming out of the parking garage directly across from the "campground". My AC and fan were running so it drowned out most of it. Security patrols frequently, security/streetlights in the "campground" area (a dirt/gravel lot) are on all night so as a solo female traveler I felt safe. Super important to me! This was a great find for an overnight although the sign says you can stay 2 nights. Didn't go in to the casino. I was tired and just wanted to eat and chill. I recommend.

Hosted as a courtesy to casino patrons, I felt no pressure to lose my life savings here and did appreciate the full hookup amenities, the security patrolling regularly, and this gracious example of kinship with our Native American brothers and sisters. No 30amp issues experienced at site #1. Filled up late evening but only one other RV here at 6:30 when I arrived. Perhaps a carry out breakfast at the hotel restaurant this morning.

Full hook ups, totally free, what more could you want... all I needed was a little water so I took the spot on the end with no hook ups so I did not have to disconnect...all of the sites are back in and the hook ups are in the back, that could pose a problem for some people. I have solar and a huge battery bank so it worked out great for me.

Besides the other reviews describing the (5) FHU RV sites behind the casino, they have a free large truck parking area in the front parking lot near the road, level, pavement, and easy access. No hookups. It is great for overnight stops, short walk into casino, and has a small breakfast diner across the street if you prefer over casino food. Evidence of "bad doggie owners" on the grass is the only knock to cleanliness.
