“Maybe would return and try again.”
Reviewed Nov 25, 2018
I say, "Maybe" because the park was recovering from heavy rains that washed part of the road out, and the park itself was probably still getting cleaned up a bit. So even though I picked "no" for "would you camp here again?", I think we would drive through to see if things had improved before making that decision.
The Good: Great board walk and trail around lake and great access to water especially if you have a kayak or boat. Very shady so summer camping might be nice. Good access to bathhouse though the internal temp was cool. Showers looked clean though we can't swear to the pressure as we didn't use them. There seemed to be kayak ad canon rentals here but because of the weather, were closed. Park store is nice and nice to walk to.
The Bad: Sites are gravel and a bit cruddy. Drainage can be a problem with some as we witnessed during and overnight rain storm. Granted, the ground was pretty well saturated form previous rains. The site is shady and was pretty dark. If you like the sun, there are very limited choices for sites in that regard.
Phone coverage was acceptable with Verizon.
