Only reason for a 4 is sites we’re a little cramped in RV section and no dump station!!! Beautiful views from several trails within park and beach is almost a stone throw away. Really wished I would have brought my kayak and paddle board as this is a Great Lake for it. Will definately come back for more future experiences!!!

We drove up from Charlotte for a new experience; we've never been to the far western area of NC and we needed something new. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised. It was a beautiful drive to the Smoky Mountains. Tons to do in the area: Whitewater rafting at the Nantahala Outdoor Center, waterfalls, Cherohala Skyway, Joyce Kilmer Old growth Forrest, Fantana Dam, Lake Santeetlah, Smoky Mountains National Park, just to name a few,
The campground is small: 21 sites, Six sites provide 15/30/50 Amp electric hookups.
There is NOT a dump station and the 6 RV sites are a little cramped together (hence the 4 stars) Tables and campfire rings with grills are provided at each site. plus flush toilets, hot showers and drinking water.
Cell service was weak but our weBoost cell booster solver that problem. 3-4 bars LTE Verizon with booster and 2-3 bars 4G ATT. We were able to stream Netflix with our ATT Mobley
