The campground is huge, but not many RV sites - with lots of green space. Terry, at check-in, was so nice and helped us extend to a second night. He gave us information on Floyd, VA as well as recommendations on places to eat and music venues for the weekend. So appreciated. Floyd is a great little town with a few cute shops, restaurants and a brewery. We arrived on Saturday and enjoyed the music at the Floyd Country Store as well as Wildwood Farms General Store. I would highly recommend these local experiences!

Checkin was easy as we had reserved weeks ahead. WIFI coverage was adequate. Nearby town of Floyd VA has several restaurants, a large grocery store and an ABC store plus more. Rained the entire time we were here (never saw the sun) but we did tour much of the local area and found the rolling countryside to be lush and green. Hope to return when we have a shot at seeing stars at night.

We did not require hookups in our camper van so were placed on a hill overlooking the campground and had the place almost entirely to ourselves (the RV sites were set apart and were perhaps more crowded together). Beautiful sunset and sunrise. Clean and adequate bathhouse facilities. Had trouble getting wifi service from our specific spot.

Our nightly rate came out to just under $30 / night when we called after they went above and beyond to configure our stay in the system so that we could get the weekly rate for our entire stay, despite the fact that we would be moving spots in the middle (something their system didn’t automatically do). Very friendly and helpful.
The area is beautiful — we stayed in the fall as the leaves were turning, and both our spots - up on the hill, and down in the lower area - had great views of the surrounding hills.
B-8 in particular was an awesome spot – it has a ton of room, and a great view.

Absolutely beautiful. In the Blue Ridge Mountains close to the little (very little) town of Floyd. Peaceful, fun hills to bike on. Amazing sunrises and sunsets over the mountains. Great local restaurants (very few, but nice) and THE VIEW. Long and winding roads to get here. Add extra time.

The WII FI was up and down which is disappointing as the last time we were here it was screaming fast. There is no privacy and little space between sites. The park is very near the Blue Ridge Parkway. They have many events here and one year we'd love to be here for the Bluegrass event.

Most of the motorhome sites are located on a hilltop with great views. They have full hook up, dry sites, and tent sites.
