“Beautiful Views. 4x4 Necessary for Higher Spot”

Like LEM said below, 4x4 is required to reach the higher spot. I did just fine pulling my 20-foot trailer with my Tacoma, but I did it with 4-Lo. Plenty of traction getting up the hill with 4x4. I wouldn't have made it with 2WD. Would be pretty easy for self-contained 4x4 vehicles.
Pretty darn flat spot with a fire ring. Road noise is pretty constant but in the distance. Views are beautiful. A great one-night stop on the way to and fro.

“Rough road but wonderful views”

For anyone with the clearance and vehicle capable of reaching the two sites at this location, they will be rewarded with a wonderful view of the river valley under Fremont Pass.
There are two roads that can get one to the sites. The official entry on BLM land is the more direct route. It is rocky and will require good clearance and 4X4. The second entry is the pipeline access road. This road has a large pull off from then highway. It does have two ruts but is doable without 4X4.
There is minimal turnaround at the sites and I would not recommend anything larger than a teardrop trailer. The first site is 500 feet from the highway. The second site 500 feet further up the hill commands the best view. Beyond this site 4x4 is required.
The sites had 3 bars of Verizon 4G with 75 megabit download and 8 megabit upload.
The area does receive noise from the highway, but as the sites are elevated above it, it is lessened.
