Overall Rating

One of the prettiest locations we have stayed. Long unobstructed views across the bay. Miscou Island, Lameque Island, and the Acadian Peninsula can easily be explored from here. If you are in the area the Village Historique Acadien is a must visit. The bay attracts many wind and kite surfers.

The campground is full service (20/30/50 amp, water, and sewer. Most sites are cement which is very nice. Paved roads. Big rig friendly may be an overstatement, but can easily handle rigs up 40 feet. Reservations recommended it is a popular campground with many people returning year after year. The staff is very friendly and helpful. WiFi available and worked well. I could not get a satellite to lock with Dish.

I don't believe many Americans make it up here. The predominant language in the area is French. The Acadian's are proud French Canadian's. Come prepared with Google Translate - we visited restaurants that did not have English menus. Don't be hesitant about visiting, everyone was very nice and helpful. A great immersive experience.
