Central Recreation Area Campground

Clean and nicely maintained sites, with covered picnic area and fire pit. Had a local tarantula visit the picnic structure at night. Nice lake, even though the water level was low, and looked to be full of hungry fish and turtles. Site had a wonderful view of the lake, and lots of big rocks to set upon to watch the sunset.

This campsite was clean, big enough for our 34 foot travel trailer, and relatively cheap. One of the nicest places we've stayed.

Only a couple downsides:
There's not much to do at the lake. This is a boating lake and you can fish. If you don't like those things you can probably find a place to swim, but it's definitely not the main attraction here.

There's a corner store, but there's not much there. We saw a restaurant listed on the lake but didn't try it (this time).

We saw a tarantula and a tarantula hawk our first night there. Not a big deal for us as neither were aggressive, but keep in mind that there are some critters around.

Other than those neutrals/negatives it's amazing. You can see the Milky Way on a dark night and it's one of the best dark sky views we've seen yet. AT&T and T-Mobile have the best signal we've seen yet. 60mbps download speeds for both.
