A great place, open early in the spring, we stayed in early March. Lots of shade from Cedars (you guess correctly). Asphalt pads, no always level, but beats mud and even gravel. Most sites have slope (not extreme) so come prepared. Laundry facilities were clean and reasonable ($1.50/load). Lots of white tail deer and turkey in th... more
A great place, open early in the spring, we stayed in early March.

Who designs these places? Very large state park but RV section cramped and unpleasant and very far from hiking trails. First off it seems like a majority of the occupants camp here full time, unoccupied rigs all over the place. Most sites are not level and ridiculously close together. Who designs these places? Very large state park but RV section cramped and unpleasant and very far from hiking trails. First off it seems like a majority of the occupants camp here full time, unoccupied rigs all over the place. Most sites are not level and ridiculously close together. My fire ring was literally under my neighbors slide out! Not 1 but 2 camp hosts for like 20 sites who did nothing as far as I could see. Just another G.O.B site. Reasonably priced laundry was nice. All the facilities have seen better days but for $20 worth a short stay.

Overall Rating
Narrow spaces, 50 amp, several pull throughout, mostly level. I'd stay here for seeing nearby Civil War sites. Noise travels well here. Fire pits to close to our RV.
