The camp host was very helpful and a great man. The campground had a power outage from a lightning bolt hitting a transformer a mile away and her drove around and kept his flock informed on the progress of the power company. The frogs kept our dog's alert. Thank you for a wonderful weekend. We will be back. Hopefully a children's playground will be added in the future. They have the space for it.

Spent 4 nights. We paid the camping fee which was about $32 per night. When we checked in we were told that we had to pay a daily access fee of $12 per motorized vehicle (I tow a car behind my motorhome) so $96. They reduced it to $90 with an annual pass. $22.50 per night! Our first site was across from the portapotties so they mo... more

The lake level is so low that there is no water at this end of the lake. If you love goat heads and insects, you’ll love this place!

First coming from Ogallala there is road construction on the dam and it was down to one lane. Second, the trains are your final barrier to the campgrounds or boat ramps. We got stopped on the way into the campground and on the way out. These trains are not short either. The walk to the water is a bit of a hike, due to possible drought ... more

We got stopped on the way into the campground and on the way out. These trains are not short either. The walk to the water is a bit of a hike, due to possible drought conditions over several years. If available, stay at Ogallala state park on the east side of the dam.

A wonderful stop on our way out of Nebraska. Easy beach access with sufficient space between sites. Electric hookups with water available. A lot of trees for shade and the sunsets were beautiful.
