“Basic RV park”

Reviewed 12/5/2019

Nightly rate: $36

RV Length: 25' (Travel Trailer)
Overall Rating

This is a pretty typical rev park, with the long term working guys in the back and short termers at the front. Sites are concrete and grass. If it rained hard, we would be stepping into mud from our trailer. Easy to navigat, Concrete pad is level, bathrooms/showers are very clean. Staff was friendly. Lots of road noise. Didn’t get a WiFi password so we couldn’t try it out. 3 bars LTE ATT. Nice museum in town. All in all a good overnight.

Convenient location to Edmond, Oklahoma area. The cedar trees are very nice but they can make it a challenge for larger rigs to turn into the slot if your rig does not turn sharly. However, there are sites on the West side of the property where you won't have to fight any trees.

Be aware that this is Oklahoma. During the Spring, Summer, and Fall, there are tornado's. This park does not have a shelter. They use the bath house. I don't really know how that will hold up in any tornado. While there, we had two over the week close by. We monitored the weather channels and radars close. We got in the truck and moved out of the path (without the RV). Neither hit the park but were close enough to have a great concern.

They do have a small store in the office with ice cream available. The bath houses were clean.

There are no pools here. Golf is just down the road. So is a small hospital if you need it.

Guthrie is the closest town (about 10 minutes east). Edmond is the nearest larger town (about 20 minutes). OK City is about 40 minutes away.

Antenna TV works just fine. Verizon works well. I think we had at least 3 bars if not 4.

This park is just off the highway. It's not a real busy highway but you may want a space toward the rear of the park to get away from more noise. We were about 1/4 the way back. It was not that bad. At night, the traffic really is no issue.

We have family in the area. We would visit here again without issue.

Guthrie is a small town. There are a few restaurants there. There are antique stores on the town square.

Easy access to I-35.
