We stayed here for a few days mid-October. We love COE campgrounds but this one wasn't really what we expected. We thought our GPS was sending us on a wild goose chase as this very small park is literally at the end of a residential street with houses right on the perimeter. However, it was clean and our site on the water was beautiful. I'd recommend staying on or across the street from the water if you can. The other loops are spoke and wheel with far less room and privacy between sites. The newer single person bathrooms near the boat ramp are much better than the older bath house near the host sites. The laundry facilities consisted of one washer and dryer outside behind the bathhouse. It was close to Nashville and we did enjoy a day trip there to visit the Ryman Auditorium (excellent museum tour and great COVID protocols in place) but frankly the downtown area was a COVID-factory and we didn't feel comfortable spending much time there. We did another day trip to The Hermitage, Andrew Jackson's home in Nashville. Highly recommend spending a day there since there really isn't much to do a the campground itself.

Each site has a picnic table, campfire and place to hang trash. Dump station on site, however the was hose leaked in a few different places so couldn't flush our tank. Bathrooms are spread out and average but didn't bother us. Staff is friendly and flexible. Campground is on the lake and it is beautiful! It is about 30-40 min north of Nashville which was further than we had hoped but the campground made up for it by being so nice, just make sure be back before 10pm as the the gates close then!

We love this campground and have camped here a few times now. Sadly, when we checked in the time, the lady said, sorry, you have the worse site for getting in and out of. She was correct. There are two ditches to each side of the site which is on a corner and there is also a ditch in front. Getting in was okay because she suggested we pull through the grass which we were able to do because it had not rained. On our way out though we had to pull out and it took about 30 minutes of pulling in and out with a 3rd person who thankfully offered to be another set of eyes. There are only a few inches of clearance and with our almost 39 foot travel trailer it was very tight. Thankfully we made it out, but only after pulling the truck through a ditch and honestly putting our rig through a bit more than we prefer to put her through. She made it though. We would absolutely recommend this resort, but I would suggest staying away from site 58 unless you have a rig shorter than about 25 feet.

I can't believe we haven't found this COE campground before. The majority of the sites are in well designed loops that make backing in easy, even for a 35' fifth wheel. Almost all of them are level and offer some privacy. Sites 50, 52, 54, 56 and 58 and premium sites and right on the water. Rates at $29 for those. The beach are... more

The beach area is sanded and well maintained and also within walking distance is a great marina with a restaurant and a funky music scene on the weekends. They do have one washer and dryer $1.50 each. The campground is close enough to Music City that you can easily drive it, though we opted for Uber - $29 each way. We'll be back!
