After attempting to fit we selected another site that we were able to easily fit into. When my wife went into the office to explain and request the alternate site she was told that was not an option. Despite a mostly empty campground it was take site 25 or nothing. We asked for a refund and left. Too bad too because I am sure we would have spent money in the store and probably done the cavern tour.

We were leaving Big Bend National Park and headed to Austin, Texas. We needed a good in-between spot for an overnight. Google showed us the Caverns of Sonora, which I had never heard about before. Visiting the caverns seemed epic, then I saw on their website they also have RV parking/camping, which made it even better. The caverns are privately owned, but well worth a visit. Not all parts of the cavern are open during covid season, but we still got a fantastic 1 hour tour of the parts that were open. The RV campground is a two minute walk next door and has about 10 pull through sites equipped with water and 30/50 amp electric. Sites are given out on a first come first serve basis, so you cannot make a reservation, but the lady working the counter said they never get full. When we were there on a Sunday night, we were the fourth RV. I also noticed an area for tent camping as well which had water and electric. There is no sewer for campers due to the caverns, but if you go to the public rest area 8 miles away (as measured from the parking lot) on I-10 headed east, there is a free RV dump station there. Someone did a review on google on it and took pictures if you want to see what the rest station dump station looks like. We had no connectivity to AT&T, but had 1-2 bars on Verizon. There are no OTA tv channels. There are peacocks that like to walk the grounds and lots of different types of birds. Grounds are fairly level with an asphalt/gravel base. There is one shower available to campers in both the women's and men's restrooms. The restrooms are open 24 hours and were clean. There is no official check in or check out time. The visitor's shop is fun to look around and even has a few items (like blue bell ice cream!) to stock up the fridge. The people who work here are super friendly and we will definitely be back if we're headed out to West Texas again.

Although there are a few pull through sites they were on top of each other and very tight to get a larger rig into. With ours and our neighbors slides out there was about one foot in between. This site is about eight miles off of I10 and in the hills so cell service (AT&T) is spotty at best.

Sites are gravel and a little tight but again, it’s right by the caverns.
There are restrooms available but we didn’t use them.
The staff is very friendly and the fudge is awesome (go try it).
This is a very basic RV area but for what it is and the price it’s 4 stars for us.
We would stay again.
Our phones didn’t work here but we got 1-2 bars on our Verizon hotspot.

We stayed here for 3 nights in early March of 2019. This is a small campground that is located at a privately owned, amazing cavern. There are a full pull-thru spots in a gravel parking lot. We had 30/50 power and water only. Sites are close together. There was no WiFi or cable and Verizon 4G was 2 bars. We were on the end with a small treed area on the driver’s side, which was nice. We had plenty of room for our 35’ MH and tow. There are peacocks that reside at the campground and they have a feeding station that draws the peacocks and quite a number of deer. The campground was sufficient for our visit. It was very quiet there.
We were there for the caverns, which were spectacular and amazing!! Unlike most caverns they were warm. The tour was excellent! If you like caverns you should see this one! If you’ve never been to a cavern, you should see this one!

This is a ranch with a RV Park and a beautiful private cavern. The cavern is the star of the show here. The tour is about an hour and 45 minutes with 360 steps in addition to the ramps. Will give you a nice little workout but not really strenuous. Beautiful sights through out and an interesting history, well worth the $20 per. The sites are ok. Mine was not level but I was able to level my rig with leveling blocks. Water and electric (30 and 50) but no sewer or dump tanks. There is a dump station at an Interstate rest stop about a mile south of the park. Site map shows 15 pull thru sites but only about 9 or 10 are usable. No wifi available, I had 2 bars on my verizon jetpack and was able to stream video but I do us an outside antenna with a booster. Not a lot of room between but enough for slide outs. The park also has about 15 back in sites but they are not deep, long rigs end up in the roadway but there is enough room on the shoulder opposite to get around. The main attraction her is the caverns, not the RV park. Being able to RV just makes it easier to visit. Rest rooms are ok, showers are old, not much light when in there. Very nice people and gift shop and a big old dog who loves to be cuddled. They also have some game there. We saw a lot of deer and there are about 6 - 8 peacocks that reside there. I enjoyed watching a male putting on his best moves trying to impress one of the females, didn't seem to interest her though.

The RV Park had lots of room, level sites, easy turnaround. People at the park are very friendly, helped out an Israeli family who ran out of gas because it was the right thing to do, and didn’t gouge them for the service. Really friendly people. Enjoy the country that we live in!

Affordable campsites with power and water hookups - nice and quiet - deers that my girls loved to watch - caverns were AMAZING!! The tour last almost 2 hours and the gift show was also amazing - I did some shopping for souvenirs and thought the prices and quality were great! No frills campsites but that’s ok with us especially for one night. We arrived at 5pm and did the 5:45 tour and will head out in the morning. Perfect pit stop!
