“Great National Park camping on PEI North Shore”
Reviewed Sep 20, 2017
Cavendish Campground offers accommodations to suit every camping style in a stunning oceanfront environment. If you prefer to keep it simple, try camping in a tent on one of our unserviced sites. If you wish for the convenience of home while on the road, try camping in an RV on a site with electricity, water, and sewer. To forego the hassle of travelling with camping equipment, try staying in a Parks Canada oTENTik. Recent renovations include sites for large equipment with 50-amp power, refreshed washroom facilities, and accessible campsites. Make the most of Prince Edward Island’s North Shore by enjoying supervised swimming, bilingual service, fun activities, new playground equipment, and direct access to two trails for hiking and cycling.
Campground - 56 acres. 18 flush toilets. 16 hot showers.
Unserviced: 105 Sites. Daily $25-30***
2-way: 82 Sites. Daily $30-35***
3-way: 76 Sites. Daily $32-36***

This was our first experience exploring Prince Edward Island and Cavendish was a great Canadian NP experience camping in our 20' Airstream. We only made online reservations 24 hrs. prior to arrival and camped 2 nights at 2-way site (water, electric) and 3 nights at 3-way site (full hookups). Both sites offered shaded area, adequate foliage & trees for moderate privacy, picnic tables and fire ring. The sites were very well prepared between each use, restroom very clean and the laundry facilities onsite were well maintained and constantly cleaned by staff. Our only disappointment at Cavendish was that dogs are not allowed on the beach due to nesting endangered birds. Our pup really was disappointed as were we not being able to enjoy the beach together. Staff was extremely friendly, professional and added to our enjoyment here.
Wi-Fi was only available at nearby (approx. 1-2 miles from CG) visitor center which we used several times during our stay. Note: we visited summer of 2017 which Canada celebrating 150 yrs. and park entry fees were waived for all visitors.
