Nice people. Nice location.
We stopped here on the way up the coast. I have a 27’ pull trailer with a 4 ‘ deep slide. Just barely fit. Less than 6” to neighbors slide out. See pics

My wife wanted to visit the glass beach in Fort Bragg. This campground was close enough to Fort Bragg to grove town.
GOOD: This campground is ACROSS the street from the very cute Caspar beach. Bonfires permitted. Water rentals available at the very well stocked store. Surf lessons also available. Terrific 1 hour long hiking trail in forest circling the campground. All utilities worked. Staff was pleasant. Neighborhood of permanent residents. Quiet at night. Million dollar homes along the street past the camp. Deer roaming the neighborhoods. Nice nearby mountain biking.
BAD: Somebody thought it would be great to bring their kids POWER WHEELS car for their daughter to drive around in. Starting at 8:30 AM. Our RV site (35) was incredibly small, and got smaller when our neighbors pulled in. I felt sorry for them because our dump/power/water was right at their doorway. WiFi service horrible
Summary: Cute spot close to a very nice beach. Forgettable campground but ok for 1-2 nights while visiting the area.

Tent sites are gorgeous, spacious, and have way more privacy. Next time, I'd take a tent site and boondocks it rather than sit with the other RVrs (if they let me). Camp store is really well stocked. Bathroom frequently dirty and out of TP or Soap which was really disappointing. Folks are friendly and you can even rent kayaks. lots of trails in the area for biking and hiking. Wifi was ok when the campground was empty and clogged to a crawl when it was full. No cell phone coverage for Verizon. Enjoy.

It was definitely a drinking and kids and loud music crowd, so if you're into that this place might work for you. Our neighbors had 2 campers and three tents set up on their little site. The hosts said nothing about it. They were also up yelling and playing music until 2am one night. Best part is there is no one to call because there’s no cell service. Miserable experience.
I did plan on working remotely a few days, so I checked the wifi and cell signal here. There is no coverage at all for AT&T, and the 50 or 60 families with a couple hundred devices means wifi is useless.
Highly recommend finding another campground for your family.

Like many of the other reviewers, this was the worst RV campground I have experienced. Showed up on a Sunday night to find my site had a tent, a car, and another camper's slide-out in the spot. The sites are like big parking spots in a gravel field. It took me over ten minutes to drive through the one dirty loop they have because cars were in the road along with grills, children, corn-hole boards - you name it - as there is no room to play in the sites.
I got dirty looks and cursed at by the other campers when I asked them to open the spot for me to camp. It was definitely a drinking and kids and loud music crowd, so if you're into that this place might work for you. The hosts were nice but did not offer to help clear my spot or provide an open spot. The beach it is near is about 100 yards long and packed with people whenever the weather is nice.

The campground is very nice. It was January so it was very quiet and we had the advantage of not having anyone next to us. If there was, they would have been very close, as the sites are close together. There are beautiful trees all around though and the setting and surroundings are really quite nice. Site 17 is at the end nearest to the entrance and has its own little grassy area. If it’s available, I strongly recommend it. There is also a private “garden view” site right near the office and main building that is on its own and pretty isolated. If it’s available, you’d definitely be happy with that site. The beach is right across the road, easily within walking distance. There’s lots of sea glass to be found along the beach. They have a nice little store on site with beer, wine, firewood and plenty of other supplies on hand. They also have a small arcade and billiards room connected to the office. Cell signal is pretty weak in this area so you’ll need a booster. They do have WiFi but it isn’t streaming strength.

We were in vacation mode when we stayed here, so maybe that is why the nightly rate didn't bother us as much...but the grounds are quite and the location is amazing. Caspar Beach is probably one of my favorite beaches. Some rocks for tide pooling and a pretty well sheltered (think less wind and a bit warmer) beach with small and less intimidating waves for the kiddos. The beach is literally across the street. The campground has a store, showers, bathrooms, playground, and some some pull through sites. The non-pull through sites offer a bit more space and privacy though. They had propane refill and laundry facilities, but both were broken when we were there. We also were able to connect and use their free wifi, which was awesome. We had zero cell signal.
