Overall Rating
We are experienced travelers who enjoy local and state parks. This is a County Park but caters to seasonal campers and locals. The positives are it’s a great location, right on Lake Huron with a huge beach and fishing pier. Very close to town for shopping and restaurants. The site was on grass, fairly level with electric and water. Dump station on property.
The fire rings are behind the sites… between you and the site behind, which causes the fire smoke from your neighbors to invade your site, rig and space. Our 50 amp service did not work so switch to 30 amp and worked. Our site was littered with cigarette butts and nut shells, obviously no one has cleaned up after the previous guest. Our neighbors did not adhere to “quiet hours”.
A different day may have been a different experience but we have what we have and choose to not come back. We did have an awesome sunset right from the beach.
