We loved it here and will most definitely be back. Owners are wonderful folks. Area is peaceful. In the middle of farm country.

Stayed for 2 nights. Visited Lava Hot Springs. Only 15 minutes away. Restrooms were clean. Stayed in campsite 10. Full hookups. Great watching wild life in the area.

Very small campground with about 10 spots. Very quiet and spacious. Beautiful views all around. It is a distance from the highway and there is a gravel road needed to access to get to the location.

Me and my husband have stayed at this campground twice now and love it. It’s small so not a lot of people can stay at once and the sites are not too cramped like a couple others we have stayed in. The first time we went, there were only a couple other campers there so we were very spread out. This last time it was totally booked but everyone is really respectful of everyone else there. Not a bunch of rowdy people. The golf course is literally right next door and it is just a nice, relaxing area with literally only fields around besides the golf course. We have T-Mobile and had cell reception and all the sites are pull through which is also nice with full hookups. Also big rig friendly. Will be going again I’m sure.

This is such a beautiful and peaceful location! Lot of people were coming and going while we were here, so it seems to stay quite busy, but there are only 10 spots.
A couple things to note:
1. On their website, it says their sites are first come first serve (you also have to book in advance), but that wasn't true for us. We arrived when only 2 other people were here and were told sites 7-10 were reserved.
2. Sites 7-10 are 30/50 amp, sites 1-6 are just 30 amp, which we also didn't see on their website when booking.
It all ended up working out fine for us, but just FYI! We absolutely loved our stay here. The town of Soda Springs isn't too far away to do some small tourist attractions and get groceries, food, etc.

GPS will bring you down Anderson Road, which is gravel except for the final section. I got a puncture on that gravel, so I subsequently used the only all-paved route in and out: Hegstrom Road from US-30 (signposted "Central Scales - Golf & RV"), Rich Road, Anderson Road, Gibson Lane.
The sites were ungraded volcanic cinders, ranging in size from sharp rocks to dust. The quality was really not acceptable. Sites alternated in each direction, with pairs sharing wide grass areas with picnic tables. There were full hookups, and bathrooms in the campground.
Verizon 4G was 3 bars, -94 dB, 2-5 Mbps down and 1 up.
I stayed here to visit Soda Springs - an interesting little town - and to drive the Oregon Trail - Bear Lake Scenic Byway and the Pioneer Historic Byway.

We needed to be in the Lava Hot Springs area during May when some of the nearby campgrounds are not available. This place was a FIND for sure! Compared to the other campgrounds in Lava (and we worked at one), the rates are cheap. The sites are not huge, but they are level and each one has a grassy spot and some birch trees. There are 30 amp full-hookups and toilets/showers if you need them in a building close by. The cell reception was good. The people who were managing it (and the golf course) were friendly and laid-back. It was super quiet and felt nice and remote when we were there. Farm fields all around you with virtually no traffic.
When we were there in the spring the weather made quite the display of natural beauty combined with the surrounding mountains. You could rate fancier RV parks with 5 stars, but I feel this park has a good combo of privacy, scenery and price for amenities.
Google maps will betray you navigating to it, look for the billboard for the park/golf course off highway 30 and follow it instead.

My suggestion: Whether you come from the east or the west on Hwy. 30, take Hegstrom Rd. south, to Central Rd. east, then Anderson south to Gibson. East on Gibson Ln. will get you there. We have stayed here in our 36' fifth wheel more than once while passing through the area.10 pull thru sites, grass and trees between them. Lava chunks all around the ground. Flush toilets & showers. Full hook ups, though the water is shut off sometime in late Oct, early Nov, pending temperatures. Golf course looks interesting too, though I never played it.
