Anyone have an opinion on the best campsites at Caprock Canyons State Park for an RV?

The sites in the high 20s and up offer more space. I don’t think any of them are drive-through. The sites are compacted dirt and grass with some branches from mesquite trees. Take a bicycle and take the ride to the old train tunnel.

Depends. If you’ll go to Parks and Wildlife’s website they have very complete descriptions of each site along with pictures of the site. Length of site, utilities and tree cover are at the top of my criteria. Some would include distance to bathrooms. While I don’t recall our site number we were close to the prairie dog town and just steps from the edge of the canyon. At the time they were only allowing half of their campsites to be reserved due to Covid. One more bit of advice: mind your step! There’s bison poop everywhere.
