It is just a bit rutted and there are some big rocks you might have to maneuver around. There is a large drop-off (maybe 6") between the pavement and dirt road at the entrance, so exit slowly. But the area is definitely doable in a larger rig. Enjoy your stay there!

We have a 39’ fifth wheel and didn’t have any problems. There were some rocks and ruts, but they were pretty easy to avoid

When we were there in 2016 the entrance was quite rutted but we had no problem getting in with our 33 ft class A gasser and there were two over 40 ft A's as well as a number of fifth wheels and trailers. There are several people who go there regularly who work on the road and try to fill ruts etc. Nothing stopping any of the rest of us from helping. But there should be nothing there unless there's been a big washout that can prevent you from getting in. And it is well worth it. You have views of some of the same rocks that you will see in the park, absolutely stunning. Sunsets if you can park facing west and there are several hiking trails there. Make sure to fill your freshwater tank before you go.
