“A Great Place To Stay”

Level sites among trees. Clean washrooms and showers. The owners are friendly and accommodating. We recommend this route to Jasper from Vancouver area, as the road is more attractive and only modestly slower than 5 to Kamloops.

We stayed here heading along route 1 on a trip from Vancouver to Jasper. Canyon Alpine is 150 miles from Vancouver. The first thing to say is that taking route 1 rather than the more direct route to Kamloops was a recommendation from a Canadian couple we met over the winter. It’s is spectacular and highly recommended. When you take that route it takes you past this campground.
It’s right off the highway, but the sites are far enough away that it’s not too noisy. The sites are mainly pull through. Ours was 30 amp, which we don’t normally do, but it was an overnight and cool enough to not need a whole bank of shrieking air conditioners. The price above is in USD.
The sites are tiered, so the gravel road has a slope, but the sites are level. We pulled in without unhooking but had to disconnect to get the car out of the road. A 45ft coach and car is a tight turn in, but I enjoy practicing my driving skills and it was one smooth operation :-).
We have no international Verizon/AT&T plan. Our T-Mobile with International has 2 bars of LTE delivering 5 Mbps down, 3 mbps up; very respectable in a remote area.
The camp WiFi was very useful for checking email and basic searches. We had 0.5 mbps down and 1 mbps up. There's a 0.5GB limit per day unless you buy a plan.
