I think it is best set up for fisherman since the boat ramp is right there next to the sites. That being said, there was allot of boats showing up in the morning to break the peace. One note, there is allot of trash around that shows itself after a burn. I picked up some trash, but the clean up could use a little help from all campers 👍

Overall Rating
Traveling through TX and wanted a quite spot. This location was GREAT!!. An old Corp of Engineers campground that was closed several years ago. Now operated by the USDA - Forest Service. Boat ramp was right next to primitive camp spots.
PROS - Right next to Sam Rayburn Lake. Very private and quite. Camp spots had fire rings. Most locations were level. We have a 24' Class C and had no problem finding a spot long enough. However, if you are over 28-30' you might have an issue.
CONS - Off the beaten path. Area is overgrown, due to limited maintenance. Old sites. Vault toilets only. No electric, water, trash or dump station.
