We were here for 3 nights while celebrating Mothers day with my mom who lives nearby in Penfield NY. It’s very convenient to the East side of Rochester and the Finger Lakes region in general. The staff were very friendly and helpful in getting us a site that suited our needs. I would suggest calling their phone number rather than making an on-line reservation as you don’t get a site choice using the on-line system. Lucky for us they had an open site that filled our needs perfectly. Keep in mind, this is a KOA so you get KOA spacing, although I must say, this is better than some KOAs I’ve seen but it’s a KOA to be sure. The grounds are very well kept there’s lot of activities for those with younger families. All in all I’ll likely stay here again when visiting the are as there’s little else that is convenient and fits our needs.
I should mention that Thursday night was very nice as the CG was maybe 1/3 full (excluding the seasonals) and was quite nice. Friday & Saturday were booked full and way too crowded for my tastes. I must also say I would normally give a KOA a 3 at best but the staff, the exceptionally clean bathrooms (which even my wife liked!) and all they had for kids made up for much of the sardine feel. :-)
DRemein would stay here again

The campsite was very quiet and dark at night which was nicer than other KOA’s in the past.

This is one of the nicest, best kept KOAs we have stayed in. We have in fact been here several times and the staff is always friendly, courteous, and helpful. Most sites are typical KOA fare, rows with fairly close spacing. Historically our gravel sites have been reasonably level allowing us to stay hitched up during one night stops. All areas are well maintained. Each site gravel separated by grass and trees limiting the parking lot feeling. Loved the clean restrooms. Little traffic noise.
During a recent 3 night stay we were by happenstance put in one of the half dozen grassy pond side sites. Ideal for a small trailer like ours. We will request these for future stays. They have water and electric only. Our photos show this site.
We observed the spacing seemed adequate for the big rigs to navigate easily Generally speaking the seasonal campers and their collected equipment and decorations are located in a separate area in the rear of the facility which we like.
We noted there is no cable. The location is close enough to Rochester there should be ample broadcast stations available. The WI-FI was strong, performance was appropriate to the time of day and number of campers.
There are many things to keep kids busy. The little cafe served good food, excellent ice cream, and was a fun venue.
