If you want to camp in the middle of a beach party, this may be your thing. If you want to experience the beauty of the California coast, don't come here. Expect absolute pandemonium of golf carts, scooters, kids on bikes, ... ripping around with no regard to speed, other traffic, or other people. I was cut off several times while I was trying to back my trailer into a campsite. Yes, really. "Grownups" and kids alike were evidently oblivious to someone backing a trailer. One real gripe is that we paid for a "bay view" site, but there was a bunch of brush behind our site so we really couldn't see the bay unless we sat in the neighbor's site.
Site quality: It's basically a parking lot with hookups. The utility connections were all decent quality. The sewer connection was up at the front of the site, so a 20' hose barely reached it. The site was narrow. There was enough asphalt to park on, and the remaining 10' of site was dirt. Our awning nearly touched the back of the neighboring camper.
Noise and congestion: quiet time doesn't start until 11:00 PM and then is not enforced. There were several families near us that all partied together. Whooping, hollering, beer drinking, swearing, and loud games started by midmorning and ran late late late. That seemed to be the norm throughout the campground. There are a lot of regulars that have a lot of toys, and with the limited space those toys stack up in the roadway and make navigation with a trailer tricky. We came in about 3:00 and by that time the drinking was well underway, which may have contributed to people's oblivion around me trying to back a trailer. With such reckless disregard for safety, it's a matter of time before someone gets hurt badly.
Amenities: The laundry facility is excellent. There are plenty of washers and dryers that are well maintained. The campground WiFi is not too bad except in the evenings when it gets pretty slow. We didn't look at the market and cantina.
Would we stay there again? No. I wouldn't stay there even if someone else was paying for it.

We arrived the Thursday before Memorial Day weekend. The park was quiet and not very full, but when we returned Friday evening it was completely packed. We knew Memorial Day weekend would be busy so this was no surprise. Quiet time starts at 11 but people were still playing music and talking loudly at midnight. We called and asked the park “ranger” if he could ask them to quiet down and he did. There are a lot of kids and activities for kids to do. The cantina is great and there’s even an ice cream parlor. I’d you’re looking for something quiet and not busy, this isn’t the place for you.

This is my go2 place from AZ. Staff is always accommodating & closest to the bay are better RV sites. Worth the extra money. You get what you pay for. 😉 I will return as there is much fun & recreation to choose from.

It’s a busy, small park with lots of people, campers. We wanted closer to the water and they moved us to a site we wanted which was nice. Kind of a hard squeeze but we got in.
However our last night l there was campers had too loud of music with no consideration for the others around them. I heard a guy call the front office and requested to have staff talk to them to at least go talk to the group, I don’t know that it happened.
There is a lot of people, loud music, and tons of kids running around, and a lot dogs.
Apparently Tijuana had a sewer spill so you could no safely swim in the ocean.

Lots of amenities, but overall overpriced. Hard to find cheaper options so close to the beaches of San Diego, so I’d recommend if you have kids and want to be near the beach- but not if you want privacy, and quiet.
We could hear our neighbors movie… and their evening activities…
2 dogs allowed and $3 per dog, per day extra fee.
AAA discount available for 10% off.
Also- stayed at site G2 which is located in section F/E which was confusing to navigate, especially at night.

Overpriced, overrun with kids, narrow lanes, ridiculously small spots that are nearly impossible to navigate into. The ONLY thing that it’s place has going for it is the location. It’s dirty, dusty, and poorly managed. Management and security do not enforce any of the rules. The lanes are narrow enough to begin with. To make it worse, people park in front of their rigs and block half the lane. The spot that I was put in was supposedly for a 50’ rig. Logistically, it would’ve been impossible to back in. Thankfully, when I arrived, the space behind me was open so I could pull through. Terrible park. Will NOT stay here again.

I read the other reviews, and I didn’t really want to believe it could it that bad. We were in J2. The site was half asphalt and half dirt. The dirt started right where the door to our trailer was at, so that was less than ideal. The sites are very narrow, like parking space narrow. There is some space at the rear of the site with a fire pit and picnic bench, but it was just more dirt where the was probably supposed to be grass, and it looked like there were small pieces of glass scattered in the dirt. That wasn’t good for little kids.
Sunday through Thursday nights weren’t bad. Friday night, it became a zoo, like the other reviews said. We are supposed to be here until Sunday, but we are leaving early.
Some neighbors earlier in the week smoked marijuana near our trailer and watched very loud movies outside, which was less than ideal. Another group was out having a birthday party and woke me up because they were so loud after 1:30am; again, not very ideal.
The beach was awesome, the views are awesome, and the food at the cantina is awesome. But, the crowdedness, conduct of crowds, and small sites made it unbearable for my family to the point we decided to leave a day early. I would never stay in the J row again, and we are debating how/if we would return and try a different location and avoid the weekends.

Wifi didn’t work and cellular showed 4 bars but cell service was a snail pace. Forget about streaming later in the evening when everyone is hogging bandwidth.

First thing we said to each other when pulling into this place on a Friday was "this place is a zoo". Kids on bikes and skateboards were everywhere. Loud music coming from several sites. We barely got our 41' fifth wheel into our spot that was said to accommodate a 50' rig. Actually, I scratched my truck on a fence post in the process. The lanes are narrow and windy and they have no enforcement of cars parking in the road. Obstacles everywhere you look, even the trees above. Looking at the egress path now has me worried for when we leave. I checked out Mission Bay RV park nearby and now wish we had stayed there.
