Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area | Arizona State Park – Show Low, AZ
We love to come up here to escape the PHX heat and it never disappoints. Plenty of activities to do and access to the lake to take an evening stroll is great. – TinPueblo
Ponderosa RV Campground | Ponderosa State Park – McCall, ID
An easy bike ride to town with many restaurants to choose from. We love this park and would definitely come back if we are in the area again. We were here in June and had snow! – Onlytherocks
Fries New River Trail RV Park | RV Park – Fries, VA
Charming, clean, well laid out private RV park that dots a babbling stream. This park should be ‘the’ model for all private RV parks. – Liz & Jake
Baca Campground | Lincoln National Forest – Lincoln, NM
So peaceful and quiet! Cool breeze! There are maybe 4 other people here, but we’re far apart. Pit toilet is super clean. – Mark
Sawnee Campground | RV Park – Cumming, GA
We were situated on a small peninsula with about 8-10 sites on it. All in all, we loved this campground and site. One of the most beautiful we’ve stayed at. – ruddyone
Forest Road 281 | Caribou-Targhee National Forest – Irwin, ID
This is one of the best free campgrounds we’ve ever stayed at. The dirt road was in great shape, there were tons of large campsites for all sizes of trailers, and two awesome hiking/mountain biking/dirt biking trailheads within walking distance. – thecampingnerd
Fruita Campground | Capitol Reef National Park – Torrey, UT
Stunning views all around. Be sure to hit up The Gifford House next door to the campground at 8am sharp for fresh cinnamon rolls and fruit pies (personal sized). – BWill
Crater Lake RV Park – Crater Lake, OR
The RV park is full of tall trees so you feel like you’re camping at a state park. The Rogue River is only a few feet away, with the Hidden Lake for swimming and a hiking trail that goes on for miles. – Kasey
Savage River State Forest | Maryland State Forest – Grantsville, MD
This was my third visit to the Savage River State Forest and it is always magical if your goal is to get away from everything. – Beerboy
White Earth Campground | Canyon Ferry Lake USBR – Townsend, MT
Great stopover between Bozeman and Glacier NP. Very open without trees, like the landscape in this valley. Clean rocky beach. Campers are cleaning up well; the place is pristine. – BabyKay
Big Meadows Campground | Rio Grande National Forest – South Fork, CO
Great views of the water. Sites are nicely distanced. Campground is nicely taken care of and the host was helpful. There is a 3 mile hike around the reservoir with access to a longer hike on the trail. Can’t wait to come back! – Rhanrahan
Halfway Flat Dispersed Camping | Mt. Baker-Snoqualmie National Forest – Naches, WA
Halfway Flats Dispersed Camping is a must camp place for those who love dispersed camping by a river. Don’t pollute it and take your garbage with you. – JenneK
Hershey Thousand Trails RV Resort | RV Park – Lebanon, PA
We’ve stayed at 20 Thousand Trails campgrounds this year, and this Hershey location is our favorite. We had lots of success at fishing, enjoyed the swimming pool, caught fireflies at night, watched the deer eating outside our back window, and took lots of photos of beautiful sunsets. – sowickesited
Dalrymple Park & Campground | City Park – Bayfield, WI
Love this campground. The sites all have electric and there are six or so that are on a bluff right above Lake Superior overlooking Madeline Island. – ChuckGrothaus
Top of the Mountain | Black Hills National Forest – Deadwood, SD
There aren’t a ton of cleared sites at the loop so get here early. You really are on top of the mountain here. Stunning views of lightning strikes in the valley below. – RobCam72
Grant Lake | Inyo National Forest – June Lake, CA
Grant Lake was a gorgeous spot! The view of the lake and the beautiful mountains with a little snow on top was perfect. We’d go back! – 415drums
Mt. Greylock Campsite Park | RV Park – Lanesborough, MA
Had a really great night at Mt. Greylock with our two kids and two dogs. Site was spacious and neighbors lovely. Super quiet and at night feels like State Park in the woods. – RIckB
Lizard Head Pass | Uncompahgre National Forest – Ophir, CO
It’s easy to get to and the road in is short and while bumpy, it’s fine. The views are spectacular and it’s so peaceful. It’s just a short drive to Telluride too! – Jlpoober
Cliff Creek Road | Bridger-Teton National Forest – Hoback, WY
Several well spaced out sites handling any size RV. Definitely, a quiet and beautiful place to stay. Plan to stay again! – Ris
Wild Horse Road | BLM – Green River, UT
Camping out along the cliffs is beautiful and it is very private and secluded from campers throughout each campsite. The stars at night are stunning! – Aaron
