“Expensive ”

Very expensive price for a below average campground. Full hookups, but lot size was about 20’’ wide (it did back up to to the river), but our water hose ran right in front of the next lots fire pit. Campground was nearly empty and we got a very unlevel lot. Only good thing about this campground is that the trolley stop was right out front. Lots of road noise, laundry facilities were good.

“Great location by a creek close to the west entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park”

This is a small private campground with full hook-ups. Many of the sites back up to a nice creek. It was very peaceful and mostly quiet, though somewhat close to the main road. Sites are on grass, most are 30 amp.

The location is great, about 10 minutes from the west entrance of the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and even closer to the Gatlinburg town center.

Gatlinburg is a small, very touristy town with lots of shops, including a great outdoor store, the Nantahala Outdoor Center - NOC Gatlinburg just minutes from the campground. There is also a very interesting Arts and Crafts Community on an eight-mile loop along Route 321, a quieter side of town, with a large variety of artisan shops.

Although close to the road, the campground is set in a very natural setting with wild turkeys occasionally walking around the grounds. They have a laundry facility but we didn't use it.

The campground literature states that they have breed restrictions on dogs, but no further details. They did ask us what breed our dog was when we made the reservation.
