“This is the full-hookup park we pictured when we bought our trailer”

Reviewed Nov 10, 2018

Overall Rating

Our preference is normally for National and State Park type places but Asheville had been on the list for a long time and Campfire Lodgings came highly reviewed. It was everything we could have hoped for with a full-hookup, private park and it’s owned by passionate and friendly people. The park was beautifully maintained and felt cl... more

“Great Views and convenient”

Reviewed May 30, 2018

We would not have chosen a premium space but are glad that it was all that was available. The views made it worth it! Our site was level; a great size for our 25ft trailer and truck. It's a compact campground but well cared for. The staff was so friendly as were other guests. It's an easy drive to town for all that Asheville has t... more

“Beautiful Views!”

Reviewed May 19, 2018

Campfire Lodging is a quiet, low frills park but the views...WOW! Great location with quick easy access to Asheville. Gravel pads except for the premium sites with incredible views. We would most certainly stay here again next time we are in the area.

We've been wanting to stay here for awhile. I'm so glad we finally made it. Great location. Close to the Biltmore and downtown Asheville. It was nice to have hiking trails right off the campground. The views were amazing, as were the sunsets! I liked that it only has 17 spots for RVs, so it's a really quiet setting. Bathrooms an... more

“Great campground with amazing views!”

Reviewed Feb 21, 2018

We spent 14 days in early December 2017. This was our first campground after becoming full-timers and couldn't be happier with our choice. We splurged for our first experience and paid $37.50. for a full hookup deluxe site. This is a pretty small private campground with @ 17 sites, but it was full of nice amenities such as private bat... more

“Beautiful campground - the views are second to none”

After a steep climb on a narrow mtn road, you arrive at this gorgeous campground. There are a number of Premium RV sites with beautiful valley views ($70/night), Deluxe RV sites ($50/night) with full hookup and woods views, tent sites and yurts too. There are some great little trails to explore and a friendly camp cat to pet. We found ... more

It's no lie folks! This place truly deserves all 5 stars, plus more. We stayed here for the week after Thanksgiving after spending a week in one of their cabins w/friends. The whole campground is small, which I prefer, as it was easier to relax into the peace and quiet of this mountaintop retreat without all the people sound pollution.... more
