“Fairly Typical - Best Suited for Tenting Youth Groups or Weekend Tenting”

May miss the access road during the first visit. The campground host is at the park entrance, almost on the main road. There are 3 rustic cabins with electricity, no plumbing. These are still in pretty good shape, have a small porch, an entry room with a futon, and a Mai bedroom with a set of bunks. I like the lower bunk. One of the top bunks looked a bit yucky. The heat was fairly efficient, local port-a-let was clean enough, convenient for young families. It’s a hike to the actual bathroom, which is fine- clean, yet kind of spooky.

Not a whole lot to see when hiking. Enjoy the brook, birds, squirrels. No store or anything like that. Campground host was accommodating and delivered my firewood. This was some very aged suspicious looking wood but it burned well, cooked over it.

“Nice county park but not really for RVs”

While staying at the nearby Big Eddy county park we drove through Camp Wilkerson to check it out. While it is nice, well-forested area it's really not for RVs. There are only 2 RV sites and they're a bit difficult to get to. This park is intended for large groups (think family reunion), tent campers, and horse camps.

We had no service with neither AT&T nor Verizon.
