Camp Run Campground

Here three nights. Autumn woods were beautiful, but unfortunately it was mostly cloudy the first two days. The nearby stream was dry so I had to drive down to the lake to fill my water bucket. Not a big deal.
Campsite was quite spacious. The ones further up the camp road were more into the woods and not as open. Some of them had better fire pits than mine, which was pretty much just a pile of rocks. It was way too windy for a fire; otherwise I would have rebuilt it.
Some hunters showed up with a trailer my last night. Otherwise it was a quiet relaxing place to camp. The outhouse up the road left a bit to be desired but it was usable. Bring your own toilet paper as it still might be out.
Zero cell service with Verizon. Can’t speak for any other carriers but I doubt there would be coverage.

Stayed here back on Oct. 4th 2020, Great little hidden Oasis. Stayed here for one night on my way to NC since all other free campgrounds in the area were filled up. There were two to three other people staying here. Each site can hold about 3-4 tents. Small trailer/RV could fit. A little run down but has platforms for tents. If you miss the entrance to the campground there is an emergency route about 500ft past after driving through a small stream. It is the only widest part in the road to turn around if you have a larger vehicle or trailer.
