Camp Far West North Shore

There are full hookup sites for the RV set, but we stayed in a "dry" site. The sites are spaced pretty well and have a decent table and fire ring. We camped in early Spring, so the hills were still green. Later on, when the hills turn brown, I would avoid the place.

We were surprised at how many of the dry sites were unoccupied; you can have peace and quiet (not counting the watercraft that make noise until the sun goes down). The bathrooms are funky but essentially OK. Trash cans are emptied daily. Security cruises through regularly, Sheriffs too.

Bedecked with Oak trees, the area is a Woodpecker Wonderland. Bring your binoculars.The camp store has ice, good firewood and ice cream bars.
