Arrived late but camp host advised us of the open sites for our rig (144 sprinter). What a site lots of huge tall trees, quiet and reasonably level and plenty of privacy. Only good for tents, vans or small trailers. Gorgeous place to stay, some hiking trails available

We pre-scouted the CG and found a couple of sites where we could squeeze our 27' Airstream trailer into.
Having a comfort level with tight places will be helpful, and scouting the CG beforehand is recommended.
Note - there are no services and no AT&T cell service.

We booked this in advance after freaking out about nowhere having openings on the coast and it looking like not a lot of easy access free spots. While we did love this campground we came to realize there is a plethora of free stuff in the area that made us feel pretty dumb for paying $20 a night for dry camping deep in trees with no solar and no cell service (AT&T or Verizon).
But the campground is beautiful with big tall trees and moss hanging everywhere a babbling freezing cold creek to cool off in. There are even two trails that you can access from the campground.
The camp host site was a little “unkempt” and in our two days we never actually spoke to them which we found a little weird but we were at the complete opposite end of the campground. Which by the way site 7 is at the end near the turn around and a good distance from other sites, it’s righf near the bridge to walk over the creek as well- if you can’t get a creek front one then it’s probanlh the best- also it’s huge we had at least 15 feet to spare with parking our 23 footer

“Good for a base camp to Portland from Mt Hood”

Good location for one day trip to Portland from Mt Hood.
You can hear highway noice as the camp site is close to the road.
Host is nice but they are using noisy generator all day and smoke a lot which you can smell from site 25. Other sites are probably good.
Dump station is not near so we dumped at the rest area in WA for free.

Built by the Civilian Conservation Corps, Camp Creek is like a land of fairy tales. The forest around here is amazing and the sound of a constantly flowing creek nearby let’s you know that this is what camping is all about. This campground is one of those reasons why we still carry around a generator. The little amount of scattered light does practically nothing for our solar panels but I would be very disappointed to have our stay cut short because there are no hookups here. A drive thru the campground was a little tight at stops for our 25ft. We settled on the first site on the left with the large stone fireplace.
