“Awesome wooded site on a creek”

We booked this in advance after freaking out about nowhere having openings on the coast and it looking like not a lot of easy access free spots. While we did love this campground we came to realize there is a plethora of free stuff in the area that made us feel pretty dumb for paying $20 a night for dry camping deep in trees with no so... more

“Good for a base camp to Portland from Mt Hood”

Reviewed 7/30/2018

Site Number: 25

Good location for one day trip to Portland from Mt Hood.
You can hear highway noice as the camp site is close to the road.
Host is nice but they are using noisy generator all day and smoke a lot which you can smell from site 25. Other sites are probably good.

Dump station is not near so we dumped at the rest area in WA for free.

The forest around here is amazing and the sound of a constantly flowing creek nearby let’s you know that this is what camping is all about. This campground is one of those reasons why we still carry around a generator. The little amount of scattered lig... more

As we left John Day, Oregon, we headed west towards Bend, Oregon. Our plan is to spend a little time in Portland as I fly back to Santa Barbara for a couple of days of work. Between here and there, we...
