“Good Stay, Passing Through or Visiting Waco”

Stayed two nights on our way through TX. Nice campground, trees, level pull through site, clean laundry facility. Campground is adjacent to a concrete plant, so there is noise during the daytime. BUT, a good place to stay while visiting Waco.

Appears that sites are occupied by full-timers. Another individual told us that only 3 sites are available as the rest are permanently spoken for. Sites were fairly level & plenty wide. Our 45’ Class A had plenty of room but if we were just an overnight stop we would have had to disconnect our toad. There was a single trash can behind our site that overflowed for a couple of days before it was emptied.
The area is quiet but as one reviewer noted, there is a rocket test facility nearby. Trust me when I say you’ll know it when you hear it! Not an attractive area but this was not an issue for us.

Hookups worked flawlessly. The dog park was great and mowed regularly. Neighbors were mostly full-timers; they mostly do their own thing but are very friendly when they see you. Owners and camp hosts were so helpful and worked hard to make sure you have all that you need. We will always come back to Camp Caravan when we’re staying in this area.

They understand exactly what RVers are looking for - good-sized campsites, easy online booking and check-in, SUPER fast Wi-Fi, and a state park-like feel with the benefits of a private park. Plus, it’s laid-back and kid-friendly. Even the laundry room is good.
We would absolutely stay here again.
Though every park has its downsides, there are only two I can name. First, it is right next door to a concrete factory, but I have to admit this was absolutely not a noise issue, just kind of an “ugly” thing. Second, the two-lane road heading towards the campground is in need of repair. However, it sounds like that may be happening soon!

The laundry room is sufficient, a bit on the rustic side. The kid's playground is definitely anything but modern. Good dog run. Fairly quiet campground, with the exception of the occasional roar emanating from what we suspect is the nearby SpaceX rocket testing facility (no joke). Short drive to Waco. Brandon was pleasant to deal with, check-in/registration is done on-line and/or by phone.

This is a more rustic campground in that you are parked on gravel and there isn’t any paved surfaces. Spaces are laid out well and our pull through easily fit our 37ft Coach and our F-150 truck. FH and a nice laundry room made our stay very comfortable. Majority of guests are there long term guests but the ownership works really hard at keeping some standards regarding personal property on site. Our only complaint would be low water pressure. This was such a great place for adventuring in Waco and we are already planning on another visit. The nights are dark and peaceful and this is a great place to stay!

For those who have kids the play area is not much to look at. It needs improving. We didn’t utilize the laundry but it seemed fairly big. Very quiet while there as they have quiet hours. Be careful when driving through during the day as a lot of kids were out playing. There is a parent who we watched yell at anyone she felt was going over the 5mph. The park served its purpose of having a place to stay while visiting. The site entrance needs to be more well lit, and a bigger campground entrance sign, or you might miss your turn into the place. The flags in the ditch aren’t always enough.
20 minute drive to Baylor/Magnolia Silos areas and you are about 10 minutes from the highway.

Stopped here on our way west. Easy to find, very clean and quiet. About 40% are full-timers. Nice laundry room. Fairly big-rig friendly. Had a pull thru and did not need to disconnect. Good dog park. A little dusty…all gravel.

The park itself is not visible from the road. As you come down Chapel Rd from either direction, look for the Camp Caravan Waco sign. The “entrance” comes up fast and is partially obscured by the neighbor property’s bushes. It is a long winding driveway with large landscape rocks and the sign. You’ll cross over a little one lane bridge and will enter the RV Park.
As you enter the RV park, you’ll notice a large middle road, a smaller road to the left and a right turn road. The right turn is an EXIT ONLY. The smaller left road leads to the cottage and office. The large middle road will lead through the park and around the curve.
Once on the main road, you’ll find back-ins on your left, pull-throughs in the middle and back-ins on the far right. Go around the curve in order to “pull-through” the middle sites. All utilities on are the driver’s side when hooked up. When departing from a pull-through site, exit using the main middle road. See map image on the Camp Caravan Waco website for more details.
Most of the full-timers are in the back of the park. Overnighters typically park in the sites up at the front of the park. If you're coming in late, keep in mind the area where the park is located is very dark at night.

The park is now open! There’s still a bit of landscaping and park-building happening, but most of the amenities are complete and include: Dog Park, Coin Laundromat, high speed WiFi and all of the sites are full-hookup. You can book online, send an email or call 254-732-5071. I’m usually on-site working so stop in and say Howdy!
Back-In Sites A3-A8 are very long sites at 60-70 feet and can accommodate large rigs. Other back-ins are a bit smaller at 50-50 feet. Most pull-through sites are very long sites at 70-80 feet and can accommodate large rigs.
I'm working on getting everything accurate on my Reservation Page of the Camp Caravan website.
