The first right hander going down around the south end of the lake has a fairly steep hill and narrow right roads. I would only recommend trailers under 20’ and Van lifers types. Motor homes use the main entrance to the boat launch. Traffic noises is minimal. Only one other camper here on a Saturday in October.

The little lake is nice and clean, and our dogs loved swimming in it. For some unknown reason, there is no camping allowed on Tuesday or Wednesday, according to the signs at the entrance. Theodore Roosevelt National Park is about 15 minutes east. The nearby town of Medora is full of cool stuff, like the Cowboy Hall of Fame and several restaurants.

Needed a site to pull off the road with my RV to wait for my reservations at Medora Campground tomorrow. This was perfect. Dirt road, but less than a mile. Easy off and on from I94. Didn't see anyone else here when I arrived at 1pm on a Monday. Did see one pickup come and leave later in the afternoon. The three sites with tables are large enough to accommodate big rigs. (I was towing a 25' cabin boat with an F150.) No fee station or directions for payment. Website states: Overnight camping prohibited Tuesdays and Wednesdays, except holidays. For more information, see: https://gf.nd.gov/wma I94 is only about 1/2 mile away, but road noise not bothersome. Some shade from trees, but not much. Perfect spot to overnight with great scenery!

Today is a Thursday afternoon but by 2 pm all camping spaces are filled. I suggest campers get here early.
The lake is pretty and we see fish jumping regularly.
Not a ton of shade here, but it's not too hot either. Each site has a picnic table. Easy pull-through parking.

Easy access from the highway with a short drive on a well maintained dirt road. Three sites with picnic tables and more room at the boat launch area if necessary. We were the only ones there on a Monday night. Big rig friendly.
No camping on Tuesday and Wednesday posted at the entrance. Some highway noise. NO restroom facilities.

Noise off highway was minimal. Lake was pretty. Only one other camper and us on a Saturday night.
Disbursed camping at its finest.
Only got one bar of Verizon in certain spots.

Traveling east bound on 94 and needed a place to stay for the night. What a great spot! Quick, easy access with 3 very nice spots. It was quiet except a little road noise from the interstate. Spent the evening with the doors and windows open, a cool breeze blowing across the pretty lake and watched the sun set over the little knoll while the geese were swimming by. They had a nice picnic table at each pull thru site. Pretty level. Ok for big rigs. Road access is dirt but very good shape.

Found this little gem right outside TRNP, the site is well kept with recent gravel fill of the road and ground. The view of the lake is stunning with picnic table available. It’s VERy windy and we stayed during a massive thunderstorm but otherwise an excellent spot. Also easy access from the freeway
