We stayed here in mid May during the week, so it was maybe a quarter full if that, hard to really gauge because this place is huge. There is over 450 sites. I had looked at the site map and reserved a site , one that was along an outer loop overlooking a farm field. We had a really long drive that day and it was hot and we were tired. When I went to check in, they said, since I hadn't paid an extra 15 dollar lock in fee for the site I couldn't have the one I had reserved and they gave us a real crummy site, where I could see across the almost empty rows of RV spots, to the site I had reserved. The next morning, that site was still empty.
Their pools were a disappointment too, being so hot all we wanted was to cool off and relax ,as we got about 50 yards to the pool, we could hear the loud rave music, coming from the pool area (this was about about 7 PM). They have 4 different pools and a giant hot tub, and there were only a handful of people about. We took a fast dip in a pool and left not the scene we wanted after such a long hot day. If u want to go for a quiet dip in one of their pools there, forget it, they are geared for a loud party party atmosphere like it's Easter break in Miami even when no one is there.

We had a end site which had 2 concrete poles on the right side. We had to disconnect our tow vehicle and swing out to the left to clear. Not sure if there were campers across from us that this would have been possible. The also wanted to charge $12 for internet access for 1 evening. Might be good for an extended stay/resort but would not recommend for a overnight stop. We camped at Cajun Palms RV Resort in a Motorhome.

Enjoyed our January 7 stay, decided to stop here on the way home. Tiki Bar - closed. Restaurant - closed. Cable tv - off line. Promised to call us back about the cable tv, did not. WiFi is $12.00 a night, though. Could have done that, I guess. Will not return.

We had high expectations coming to Cajun Palms. Friends had told us it was the best campground they had been to on their travels. It is impressive on arrival driving into a large, covered welcome area. Sign in was efficient and the attendants were personable and very helpful. I can't say enough good things about the staff here. We had an escort to our site which was a back-in and perfect in every way. Gotta practice backing up sometime! Services were easy to access and all worked as expected. We were treated to 80 channels of cable to go along with a huge recreation area with pools, hot tubs, food service and even a bar. If you have kids and want them to get out of the RV this is where you want to take them!
Cajun Palms hits all the hot buttons for a family outing. If you're looking for a quiet getaway you might want to schedule a Sunday arrival and scoot out of here on Friday. It is quite sedate during the week. We didn't see one kid sitting around on a phone all weekend. Lots of families having a great time.
How could I not give this place 5 stars overall? My biggest negative was connectivity. We travel on weekends to our destination and schedule our stays for one or two weeks for work Monday thru Friday. We have plenty of time evenings and weekend for exploring and doing all the tourist stuff. We've depended on our Verizon connection for almost 2 years and it has been practically bulletproof. Until we got here! I double check reviews for cell signal strength and up till now didn't think about data bandwidth and speed. My bad I guess. Verizon signal is 4/5 bars as reported but data is extremely slow to non-existent in this area. WIFI here is a pay service and throttled to a 7Mbps download speed max unsecured. Not ideal. T-mobile signal works perfectly though. Guess its time to finally purchase that back up system!!
I know its not the fault of the park that the roads coming off the interstate to the park are in disrepair. If you make it through Louisiana to Exit 115 in good shape, you're treated to what can only be called a bouncehouse coming to the park.
Hey....I hope my couple of complaints don't deter you from enjoying a really great time at Cajun Palms. We're just a couple of folks who still have to work to enjoy places like this.

They don't play the loud music at the pool giving you that good time party feel (that made us buying drinks at their bars 😁) we paid $56 with GS. They still have activities going on along with the same friendly staff.. But I'm afraid it is losing some appeal.. I'm not sure we will go back. 🤷🏻♀️ Ps, no highway noise at all. My cell service was not the best here. Wifi is a bit pricey. We did not get the amount of channels it says it has.

Closer to the highway than we thought so quite a bit of highway noise. All level, concrete pads for easy setup. Make you wear an wristband like Disney! Watch out for the kids running around in golf carts!

I checked into this large, concrete-everywhere campground in January where only about 25% of the spot were taken. All spots are concrete and level, electric, water and cable were all in new condition in the area I was in (200s were the newer spots in the park). Full sun but I welcomed that in January. It was a great park for walking the dog or just strolling around. Sites are larger then most parks with lots of grass. Cell service (both Verizon and AT&T) were so good I didn't need my cell booster.
Main building has laundry (quarters) and a restroom. The highlight of the park is the water and bar areas. Although they were both closed when I was there they must be party-town in the summer. I've ever seen a larger bar area in any park then here. Since you can pick your spot on the internet I'd select one far from the pool area if it's in season. Employees were prompt and helpful. There are 2 restaurants that either give discounts to campground visitors and also deliver, but they are close enough to walk to.
The park isn't far from Lafayette, less than 25 miles, if you're interested in exploring the cajun culture in the area.

Friendly staff. Clean large private bathrooms lots of activities for kids. Our pad was right at the kids pool entrance. Lots of places to eat. Heavy construction at the exit though 😩.
