This is an older COE campground that is on Old Hickory Lake but it's tucked away at the back of a large residential neighborhood. The roads in are a bit tight and there are a lot of low hanging trees that you will hit if you are over 12' tall. We have stayed here twice and really take our time getting into the campground because of this. The sites are large, level and many (especially lakeside) have great views. The staff was pleasant and courteous. For those that work on the road, T-Mobile internet here is blazing (300Mbs) but you would have some difficulty with starlink due to the trees. During the summer months it will be difficult to get weekend reservations, but we picked up a monday-friday spot on the water a week before we needed it.

Due to numerous reviews about crabby host/staff, I was worried about our stay. We had invited my niece and her family to camp with us, and we were one car and one person over the limit, and with host reviews I wanted to avoid any conflicts so I reserved a second campsite to eliminate any potential problems. After we checked in and he saw we were all on one site, he told us we didn’t need our second site (which we were going to use to park cars on) and he would apply for a refund for our second site. As it was evening, I really did not expect a refund because they couldn’t reassign the site. Anyway, a few days later a refund appeared on my credit card statement. The host went out of his way to get us a refund that we probably didn’t deserve. We had several encounters with the gentleman and all were very friendly. He said he has lived on site for several years. My experience was very different from others. Campsites are beautiful, the bathrooms are older, like most COE’s I’ve been to.

Scenic and spacious waterfront sites. Older, but hot showers. Family friendly. Had 2-3 bars of service, which worked well for our hotspot.

Only saw him touring the campground once. Felt that the upkeep of the campground was on the weak side. Grass needs mowing, bathrooms were rundown. We had just spent 2 weeks at the 7 Points COE campground and this one was not on the same level.

Our first impression was from the gentleman who checked us in. He was not the least bit friendly! Our second encounter with him was no better upon asking for a campground map( which we should have been given at check in). But besides those little hiccups, this us a well maintained, small, quiet campground. Close to a lot if things to see.

There were several kids riding bikes all over and through everyone's sites without caring. I didn't care for that.
Most people were friendly and we may go back. It's close to shopping and other areas for outings.
This is the first Corp park where they insisted on physically seeing and checking out our Access pass card upon arrival. Be sure you have it ready as they will not let you enter until they see your card.

Camp host is a jackass. Very nasty. Made the stay miserable. Find somewhere else to stay. Avoid this campground due to the host.
