“great place - big as a city, but still has the feeling of being "away from it all"”

loved the campground and the people and the facilities. wish there was more grass and less dirt - we disc golfed, and fished, and hiked. we even rented a pontoon boat. there is some road noise from the main highway. mini market was out of a few things - is it always this busy in November? campground was full. AT&T cell service sucked

Huge campground with spots for every taste. Yerts, cabins, tent sites and rv pads. Would have been much better with a little irrigation. Casino and Solvang close by.

This is a lovely, expansive campground boarding Lake Cachuma. The lake allows boats and fishing but no swimming, as it is a reservoir. There are also lots of amenities like pool (closed for COVID) two dog parks, playgrounds and small hiking trails. The tent sites are the closets to the water and many would support a RV. Partial hookups are close with some water views while the full hookups are closest to the road and typical of RV parks. If you can dry camp take a tent site. They’re much better! There are three boat wash/ dump stations so if you need them there shouldn’t be much of a line, if any. Only draw back is that non tent sites are a bit packed and everything is dirt. Lovely spot, definitely would come back.

Beautiful sites lakeside bluffs for tents. Sites in general are large. Site includes fire pit and table. FHU section has typical spacing, we opted for partial and site was large with a huge oak tree in corner. Price is in keeping with Santa Barbara area in general.

We have a 40' 5th Wheel, but stayed on a dry campsite to save money. The site was HUGE and we had plenty of room! The FHU sites were $15 per night more and a lot smaller, but not bad. The lake is nice, just very low right now. Also - they charge visitors a day use fee of $10 which is steep when friends come for dinner. We used to... more

The lake is nice, just very low right now. Also - they charge visitors a day use fee of $10 which is steep when friends come for dinner. We used to travel with another car and if we had that with us this trip - we would have been charged $10 per day extra for it! During the week it was nearly empty, but filled up on the weekend.
