Stayed Sept. 11 & 12, 2021.
We drove along Lakeshore Drive in Osoyoos looking for a place to stay for a couple of nights and came across this one. The site is separated by the Drive - most sites are on the opposite side of the road from the lake - they have 12 sites right on the lake/beach. The road is a dead end and the campground is near the end of the road but you will hear the vehicles as they drive by 10' from your unit if you are staying on the beach. We stayed on the beach and loved it. It might be because we only had someone on one side of us for the entire stay. If someone had parked on the other side of us, it probably would have felt very cramped. They also have a tree separating each site on the beach which makes it very tight to put the slides out - have to park just right....we managed to get the awning out a little bit but the sites are very narrow. This is definitely a campground for smaller units.
The washrooms need a LOT of work. There were 5 stalls and only 2 of them were working. The place is tired and old and needs a face lift for sure. They advertise wifi but that's deceiving because it ONLY works right next to the office. Do NOT count on any wifi at all. The cellular service at the beach was available but weak. They seem to have a permanent "boil water advisory" in place. They say it's because they are on a well - we only used the water to wash dishes and flush the toilet. Used bottled water otherwise. Power and water hookups on the beach but NO sewage. No dogs allowed either - they are very strict with that. I think we enjoyed our stay because of how quiet it was due to the time of year. I couldn't imagine staying here in the middle of the summer though. The place would be packed! We would only stay here again in the off season.
