Truth or Consequences is 20 minutes north. There is a great Mom and Pop grocery store in town. The museum is amazing for such a small town.

I just spoke with CJ and they do not allow children of any age. We have three so we won’t be staying there. Just wanted to let people know.

Stopped in for a night. Read the reviews. Clean, CJ, the owner is very funny. They do have happy hour from 430-600, we were a little late to participate. Will stay again. One of the cleanest parks we’ve been to.

We planned to stay one night, but stayed two and are coming back. Really clean and all new hookups. Nightly happy hour. Plenty of space in all drive through stalls.

Nice campsite near lake and mountains. Visited the Lake of Fire lava flows and Hot Springs in Riverbend. Mild temperatures and sunny in February.

Has a nice fenced doggie park and game area. Sites are level & wide. She encourages recycling & donates the proceeds to locale animal program. The electric will run about $3 per day.
CJ has a social time every evening from 4:30 - 6:00, be sure and go as you will become a part of CJ's wonderful RV family. There might have been silver found in the area but here you will discover a diamond in the ruff.

We drove past this park on the way to Caballo State Park and thought it was a neat looking park. Being unsatisfied with the state park, we came back. So glad we did! What a find! Immaculately clean with lots of decorations for the current holiday. The owner, CJ, is a delight. She takes very good care of her park raking each site as people leave. There is happy hour every day at 4:30. Lots of monthly campers that come back every year. Everyone is really nice. The sites are long and wide enough although some are challenging to get into for larger rigs due to obstacles. There is traffic noise during the day but it quiets down at night. WII FI worked ok although it slowed down sometimes. Electric is a separate fee which amounted to about $3 a day for us. Directv worked great. Verizon 4g 3bars but not reliable. There is an outdoor game area and dog walk. There is a trail down to the lake. The only downside is the small gravel/dirt in the sites that you track everywhere. The sunset views of the mountains are stunning! We would definitely stay here again.

But the highlight of our stay was the owner, CJ. She is an awesome business woman during the day and an even better hostess in the evening. Our check-in and check-out were very organized and professional. Plus, the property is extremely well-kept (she was outside all day gardening and picking up). Sites are spacious - definitely not crammed next to each other like at some RV parks.
However, the highlight is the happy hour CJ hosts every single night at 4:30p.m. She fixes some snacks and you bring your drink of choice. Then you get to spend time getting to know her and your temporary neighbors. It is such an awesome idea that I wish more parks did. CJ also throws fun parties for holidays - Halloween being her favorite.
We loved this park and CJ so much. One of the rare times I've been sad to say goodbye.

The view from the campground is the BEST in the area, I looked at other places. It is right next door to the Caballo State Park, if you are headed north on 187 it is just passed the state park on the right, clearly marked with a bright yellow happy face flag.
They had wifi and it worked for the most part, which was nice.
We arrived and were greeted by Della the park host at the time, who showed us to our spot. Della is the nicest, sweetest lady! It was a little late in the day and she said to just park and check into the office the next morning. We had full hookups and metered electric. We also had decent cellular service through AT&T. The post office is just down the street maybe 3 miles and you can get things sent general delivery but it is only open 7:45-11:45 and less on Saturday.
They only take cash or checks, no debit or credit cards.
My favorite thing about this spot was the price and our view. We had the lake and the mountains directly out of our window. Also there were some long-term residents, like Della, and they did a happy hour every night starting at 4:30, which was nice for newbies like us since we got to pick their brains regarding RVing in general.
It is owned by a very nice older lady named CJ who lives in a house on the property. They have games to play outside and a small dog park, though there is ZERO grass in the area. You could walk out the back of the property into the state park and to the lake. No real hiking trails though, mostly just horse trails that we used. All trails were pretty flat and only really led to the lake, so there wasn't a lot for us to do. We prefer hiking and mountain biking trails that we can enjoy when taking breaks from work.
Walmart and Bullocks grocery were a short 15-20 min drive away in the town of Truth or Consequences, which has a few cute shops and hotels that boast of their hot springs, we meant to take advantage of that but weren't able to get around to it. The soak and suds was where I did my laundry. I tried doing some at the RV park with the blue and pink A-frame/gas station but it took forever and even though it is cheaper I do not recommend it.
Access: Easily accessible from I-25 off 187
Location: Beautiful view
Cleanliness: Exceptional
Site Quality: Average for an RV park, with picnic table
Noise: Quiet, other guests were all polite.
