We stopped here for one night to get out of the wind. The electric sites are along a nice windbreak which provides good protection from strong northerly winds. We stopped here for one night to get out of the wind. The electric sites are along a nice windbreak which provides good protection from strong northerly winds. I would like to have been here in better weather as it looks like a very nice place to paddle and spend a few days. There is one free, dry camping, spot to the west of site #1 that would provide good northerly protection. The other free spots are very open to the wind. Great Starlink speeds here. Lots of trash in the trees, very disappointing that so many people can't bother to properly dispose of their trash.

No ability to get an electric site unless you plan a day in advance. The electric boxes are locked up. Wish they had a place to pay and get it unlocked on site. Great for locals but that makes it a boondock site for travelers. The lake is gorgeous. Sites are level. Vault toilet. No water spigot anywhere. All positive if you just want a... more

Great little spot. Remote location. Primitive camping is free. Can pay for electric hookups at a couple of sites. We took advantage of the swim beach (although there were rowdy locals there for a while), and enjoyed a quiet night. Vault toilets available. Sheltered picnic pavilion. Fishing pier. Swing set. Great little spot. Remote location. Primitive camping is free. Can pay for electric hookups at a couple of sites. We took advantage of the swim beach (although there were rowdy locals there for a while), and enjoyed a quiet night. Vault toilets available. Sheltered picnic pavilion. Fishing pier. Swing set. Horseshoe pits. A few fire rings available. Mowed regularly. We stayed here in two tents.

Quiet and clean campground. Busy on the weekends with local campers, as to be expected. Kids were swimming and youth had ATV’s and motorcycle’s running in the afternoon/ evening. Crop dusting in the nearby fields. Once it was dark it was super quiet. The roads were all smooth and the park was freshly mowed. Does boondocking get any bet... more

We stayed here for one night, arriving early Friday morning and departing Saturday morning. When we arrived there was no other campers there, but there were about 9 total by the end of the evening.
My only minor drawback from this place was how easily sound carried. There was a group that came to party for the evening at the first area and it was easy to hear their music and conversations on the second area where we stayed. Otherwise great stay right on the lake.
The flies were also pretty bad, but hey that's camping!
