Surprised by the rate considering condition of the campground. No maintenance that I can see for probably last couple years. All sites are by reservation, what a pain, only four other campers in campground and at least half the sites are closed.

Nice campground with some very nice spots. Some are on top of each other, others are spaced nicely. We went in June and it was super hot. The beach is tiny and rocky. The campground is on a bluff so you have to hike a short way to the water or drive to another part of the lake. Kayaking up the river was super pretty! No hookups. Fre... more

According to Recreation.gov on 10/4/21

Bushay Campground at Lake Mendocino is currently closed due to pending construction required to restore ementies to the campgrounds. Bushay Campground does not have a projected opening date for 2021 as of September 15, 2021. Please be advised that Lake Mendocino is experiencing drought conditions and both the north and south boat ramps are closed to the public for until further notice due to low lake levels.
