The road into the CG is paved and maybe a ½ mile and drops into the Burro Creek canyon or gorge and the CG parallels the Burro Creek. The roads inside are dirt and wide enough for any rig; there were some larger TT and 5Ws and I didn’t see anyone having a problem.
Sites have picnic table and fire-ring and some sites even had canopies over the picnic table. There are several flush toilets around the CG as well as a few water faucets, and there is a tank-fill faucet at the 2-sided dump station. There are numerous garbage bins and I did notice one aluminum recycle bin.
The camp host was great, friendly and accommodating, she kept a good eye on stuff. They come in and clean the bathrooms and take the trash a couple of times a week. The bathrooms were very clean and well lit at night.
It’s a great area with many desert backroads to trek. We’d definitely come back here again.

Arrived at 1pm and plenty of FCFS sites to choose from. The hostess came out to help us and her suggestion was the best choice.

I did not use the facilities, there is a dump site and water available. Nice little walk down to the river which was flowing this time of year. I did pop my head into the bathrooms and they have flush toilets and our spotlessly clean.
I had to walk to the front gate to have Verizon service.
Paved road in from the highway is nice, but the access inside the park is very rutted and on a gravel road. Could barely hear the freeway,.
Definitely will stop here again!

Some sites will need a bit of leveling help.

It’s a quiet spot and again…this is our 4rd or 4th time staying here so, we like it well enough.

Not the best for tent camping as there are animals everywhere. However, it's for great views and mostly free.

The road in is steep and windy, so just go slow. Once in the park, the outer loop is very washed out and several trees/shrubs are overgrown into the road and sites, so take it very slow, especially if you’re towing anything. Our site (7) was in a great location with an unobstructed view of the canyon, but it had a deep washout in the middle of it and shrubs growing into the entry making it tight. My wife literally held back the thorny limbs so I could back in without scratching our trailer. It said pull-through, but not really doable with anything but a small rig. Once in the spot, it was far from level so used all our blocks (20) to get the passenger side up to level. Then almost fully extended the tongue Jack to bring the nose up. We did enjoy a walk down to and along the creek and the beautiful night sky, but cut our stay short due to incoming rain. Since the washout was right under our stabilizers and the rest of the loop was badly damaged due to rains, we chose not to risk it and moved on up the road for the other two nights we had reserved. If you have a small rig and the weather looks good, it’s a nice stop. If there was a little work done to the flora and roads/sites, it would be really nice. Just needs some TLC.

As of 17 October 2022, the campground is being worked on. It's open but the dump station is closed. I didn't ask when the dump station it will be reopened. Looks like the bathrooms are closed as well with porta potties placed around the campground.
