“Right on the Gulf!”

Reviewed Feb 27, 2018

Overall Rating

Pretty, affordable little parish park right on the Gulf. The campground host, Victor is a great guy, available to help, friendly, handy, and informative on everything from a better route than 90 (182 East is a sweet little backroad through little towns towards NOLA) to "don't let your dog get too close to the swamp because the aligato... more

“Fantastic views; not a lot to do”

Reviewed Feb 22, 2018

Overall Rating

The views here can’t be beat and most of the sites are right on the water. If you like to fish and are in a fully contained RV, you might find this place ideal to get away from it all. We travel in a camper van so it didn’t fit the profile of the type of place we typically stay, however it was fine for an overnight. Facility needs some... more

“RIGHT on the water ”

Reviewed Feb 17, 2018

Full hookups on the water for $14/night? Yes please! Gravel spots are very level, and fish are jumping right at the shore! The weather has been beautiful. Most here are locals and are extremely friendly. Another post complained about a loud water pump... don’t even notice it, but might depend on where you park. We love it here and woul... more

“Awesome and peaceful”

Reviewed Jan 30, 2018

Overall Rating

The stay here was awesome. Don't be intimidated by the drive from US-90 down State Route 317. You'll be happy you took your time to drive down to it. The parking is all gravel, but it is relatively flat. You'll enjoy some fantastic views. If you happen to be here on the weekend, you'll get to see a lot of people fishing. Watch them, yo... more

The other reviews pretty much cover everything! Beautiful, nature, quiet, peaceful and a very nice host! We were the only campers for the two nights we stayed.

“Exceptional Views of the Gulf”

Reviewed Apr 30, 2017

Overall Rating

I read the first review of this place and I thought it might be a little exaggerated. Nope. All I have to say is... Ditto, Ditto, Ditto. We visited this campground in late March 2017. We stayed Sat - Tues. This campground has a full-time paid host. We had 50 amp FHU. All worked as it should. No WiFi; no cable. Peace & quiet.... more

“A little known gem right on the water ”

Reviewed Mar 07, 2017

We discovered this park and campground while staying nearer to Morgan City at another campground. We liked it so well we left our other campground a day early so we could spend time here. It's one of the few places in South Louisiana with access to the Gulf and the price of a full hookup campsite on the water was $14. You read that rig... more
