What a great spot, especially for children! There is a water slide into the lake, a splash pad and a playground. Beachfront cafe ( not really a cafe) has great burgers and awesome fries. The fact that there are 10 campsites… for FREE.. is a bonus! Plus, it has a fantastic view… Thank you Burns Lake!

We stayed here on the Friday night of Labour Day weekend. There are about 10 recognizable sites with a few picnic tables and fire pits. The area around our picnic table was covered with cigarette butts but otherwise the site was fine. Fortunately, we had arrived fairly early as there were few sites that would have worked for us - however, we still had to unhook. The campground filled up and was quite noisy until around 9. The RCMP made a couple of passes through while we were there. I remember the train but don’t remember it being much of an issue. The busy highway behind the campground was much noisier.

Restrooms are available at the beach, but only until 10 p.m. Sites have tight angles or require backing in from the boat ramp area, but the price is right. We had good Google Fi connectivity (don't know who they roam onto in Canada) and appreciated to short walk to a couple eating options.
The "No Dogs" text in the Campendium description is not correct. No Dogs off leash would be more accurate. We stayed here August 8th and the place was nearly full by sun down, but the price was right! By a month later when I got around to posting this review we didn't remember any train noise so it must not have been too bad!

Nice little campground for overnight stop. Right on the lake with boat noise, next to the road, and with frequent trains. Sites fairly close together but not too bad. Dry camping. Our 40' 5th wheel fit so large rigs OK. Would have been nicer if our egotistical and abusive neighbor wasn't haranguing and being critical with his kids the whole time. What a jerk.
